The Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Explorer sets a new benchmark for fast charging - 210W

27 October 2022
Save for the faster charging and different battery capacity, the Explorer is identical to the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ (yes, including the 200MP camera).

Any other brands even with 120W+ charging speeds made a lot better job.

Would've been worth it if it was packed with a 7.3Ah battery instead of a 4.3Ah one. For now, 100w is pretty fine and gives a good enough charge.

Anonymous, 27 Oct 2022How to kill your battery in 210 daysMan charge apple with it and it dies in 210 seconds at most but i believe a xiaomi managed to fix your tiny little problem because they inovate compared to other brands which just buy their own devices from chinese add own sticker onto it and sells like its their own.

Meanwhile charging my "amazing" Pixel 6 Pro at 23 Watts "fast" charging...such "amazing" technology made by Google USA :((((

Anonymous, 27 Oct 2022Those with an expensive flagship phone keep it for years un... moreMostof them who buy flagships will change their phone once a year, maximum 2. When they stop to be ignorant, that is when they will stop wasting money, it ain't happenning to often tough.

I'm not against fast charging speeds, I do think around 60 watt is the best compromise at this point in time BUT I do think that battery life (how long a battery lasts between charges) is more important to a lot of people. If a phone could charge from 0-100% in one minute but you work outside or don't have access to a charging point it won't do you any good. I think all batteries should be a minimum of 5000+mah with a minimum charging speed of 30 watts at this point in time. No phone should be needing charging more than once a day in 2022

Insane charger speed is the new "My phone has 5 cameras" or "I have the biggest MP main camera" fight.

I honestly think it's a boring fight, but on the other hand, I like to see how technology is improving so fast during the last 5 or 6 years. Hope to see these improvements coming for wireless charge too.

To my level of usage, 45w~67w fast charge is already fast enough.

OnePlus did offer a free replacement earlier this year for some of their older models so that they can be used as a side phone or something

I bet some phones in 5years will charge as fast as EVs
Today if it will go up like this. At the start of the year 120 w
Was the fastest changing speed and now up by around 75% The only probable limit of the charging speeds will be maybe even the power supply.😂

After a certain point, these are just numbers. 65-80W is plenty fast for me.
But, I appreciate the super fast charging phones. Personally, I don't think I will ever buy a slow charging phone again.

Anonymous, 27 Oct 2022Seems like you never attended a school. Battery is damaged ... moreMy argument isn't justification of 200W when 1000W is available

My argument is RELATIVITY, the arguement is that there will be new standards of what is RELATIVELY slow and FAST

In the future what we NOW consider fast will be SLOW

And with that logic people will be choosing the 200W as the new conservative choice in the future

This is history repeating itself there was a time when 3W was the slowest and people complained that 15W is destructive to the battery

High WATTS does NOT automatically mean more heat generation because we don't know how that power is applied in the charging system

Don't be lazy do your research technology improves overtime

Most people always asking for more charging speeds are the ones with budget to mid-range phone buyers because for them it doesn't matter anyways. Their realmeow, iCherry or whatever generic brand phone will be obsolete before battery dies and then they just buy another one
