Flashback: the Nokia X series or how the Android dream turned into a short snooze

How many of you have wished that Nokia had picked Android over Windows Phone? We bet this isn't quite what you had in mind.

Nokia should have pushed harder on the Microsoft is, right now they could have been a giant. Gave up too early in the game.

    my last Nokia phone was E71 series in 2010 then straight jump to LG Nexus4 in 2012..
    Nokia seem left behind interm of mobile gaming and application...their hardware spec cant compete with HTC, LG ,samcung and apple..

              popular brands somehow use dual cam setup but the 2nd cam is basically useless. is it that hard to design single rear cam system?

                  AnonD-1065015, 13 Nov 2022Why can they not go back to making these colourful devices ... moremajority of people doesnt care about these colorful phones. sad to see without them. given that phones nowadays provide monotonous colors like white, blue, gray, and black. they could buy a phone case anyway in order to make it colorful.

                      Apple was never for me.
                      I dislike brands which doesnt cooperate with anything else apart it self even its self abrely.
                      Once long ago had Iphone 6 but sold it after 3 months of use. It was a worst phone i ever had.
                      I prefer versatility over a closed prison system.
                      Something which works way i want not way they force me to.
                      And bigger phones are better not only for casual use but also to not harm eyes by looking on tiny letters on a small screen. And there is lot more than just this

                        Those were some of the strangest decisions ever made in the mobile coms world.
                        Why would Ms commit suicide by destroying their own massive hold on enterprise market for mobiles.?
                        You look back and think, it must have been done on purpose, all of it, not just outing elop in at Nokia, but many of their earlier decisions too.
                        They should make up a 101 class if exactly what NOT to do at top of market.
                        It's cost Ms how much in profits since.£?.

                            microsoft ruined their windows mobile twice,those x series was just a fun project gathering more crowd,it just not their game

                                The 3 pane homescreen was genius.. Fastlane ,widget and app tray.. Is there any launcher to emulate this setup on todays android?
