Samsung Galaxy S23 to have "exclusive high-frequency version" Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset in Europe

This is so great:
with Snapdragon SAMSUNG becomes a serious alternative in Europe.
If they now also resist to follow APPLE's european pricing absurdity,
they have a really hot product in 2023 with their S series:
top SoC,
top camera,
top (and flat!) display,
...
Everything you can ask for...

In my case, I couldn't care less for how powerfull is chipset in the coming S23 series (Unless how it is power efficient). But what I expect from Samsung is closer to flagship grade camera setup on S23 and S23+. Including better quality optics. Ultra will be great anyway, but those two are downgraded to midrangers. IQ from S22 and S22+ is absolute garbage. Even post processing can't solve all the problems that are still visible. Some midrangers like S21FE is doing better job.

Anonymous, 17 Nov 2022It will be the start of Samsung's downfall. No exynos ... moreI had a feeling that people would end up commenting this.
This is literally what you wanted.
You wanted Samsung to stop using Exynos chips in the S series for years, and now that they're finally doing it, you're suddenly switching sides and now you want Exynos back?
Shut up.

no worries about burn ins😎😎 just use it in max brightness like nothing bad happened. only cons is the battery life, i could tolerate that. its good for gaming as well. cheaper to repair compared to AMOLED. which can charge you half of the device. (depends on what model to refer)

Dear Mobile and Chip maker, we don't need overclock, overheating, lower SOT phones and peak benchmark goodies only anymore.
Efficient / Sustainable long peak performance with very good battery back-up is much appreciated now than before.
Maybe I even prefer underclocked Chipset for the sake of battery life.

"arguably inferior".
No, everyone knows for a fact it is inferior. It's worse in every single way.

S9 gets a single camera while S9+ gets 2. S10 gets a single selfie cam, while S10+ gets 2. In pursuit of a better Ultra, everything else is compromised. Even Mi is going that way.
Flagship should be flagship, even if its a junior flagship.
Plus, I think this is an anti-competitive act by Samsung and Qualcomm. It might even be ILLEGAL. Don't be surprised if you hear about a lawsuit soon.
Why can't Samsung compete on an equal stage? Why the special treatment?

With LCD, power consumption is constant. With OLED you're forced to use dark themes or be forced to deal with much bigger power draw.
My main issue with this "high frequency" version is that it'll probably go for max performance over sweet spot and I don't like that. SD 8 Gen2 is already fast as is, there is no need to push it even higher meaning it'll be probably hotter and more power hungry than it's needed.

I might've cared about this 4 years ago. Too late now as Samsung have removed the micro SD card support and headphone jack from their flagships. No chip can make up for that
