Kratos-, 24 Nov 2022Which is better the honor 8 series or oppo reno 9 series? if honor's magic ui is the same as huawei EMUI, then honor hands down. emui is one of the most polished skins out there. it makes look MIUI like total crap. but probably it is better to wait until you ll get reviews for both phones.

Kratos-, 24 Nov 2022Which is better the honor 8 series or oppo reno 9 series? Honestly it depends, I wouldn't recommend any Oppo Reno phone except the 6 series which was the best in my opinion. Now, between Reno 8 and Reno 9...well honestly the Reno 9 is more of a refreshed Reno 8. Is not big of an upgrade over the 8 series, so go with the 8.

Anonymous, 24 Nov 2022Oppo phones have some nice hardware but ColorOS sucks.Yeah, color Os is too heavy with duplicate apps. Honor phones are following the Huawei path, light weight os though looks like they have copy pasted ios. BBK needs to work on Color and Oxygen Os

-no telephoto on pro model from reno 5 pro
-no OIS from reno 7 series
-no telephoto for pro plus from reno 8 pro plus
-back to 8mp ultrawide from reno 8
Now, it's reno 9 pro plus...

A erage midrange with 8+g1. This Pro+ is what oneplus used to be before 7 series.

The Reno series has become a bigger joke with each new generation. I hope Oppo's sale decline even further in 2023 so they will wake up and stop taking buyers for granted.

Never mind a telephoto camera, the vanilla Reno9 doesn't even have an ultrawide camera. That is an obvious cash grab there.

great design but specs are mediocre and price will be highly inflated in Europe/outside of china (will probably cost as much as the base S23 while offering a less)

only 240hz touch sampling rate? hell no. even midrange from xiaomi already reached 320hz

Honestly, here's hoping they give it better cameras (with the exception of the main lens).
