                Am going straight for s23ulta bro no need for chinese spyware phones

                  I wont get any phone next year. I already bought a lot this year hahaha. Ill be using my f3, s21 fe, a73 and 12t and 2 cheap phones (below 200usd) until 2024. May be by that time if i sell all these i can buy a good high mid range phone, or a flagship killer phone may be.
                  But these and xiaomi 13 seems good also...

Thi... moreWith regards to thermals, the bar has to be exteremly low if you are going to bring back the nightmares about SD 810. Back then, Chinese OEMs were not the leading ones, but Sony/HTC/LG were the leading ones along with Samsung back then. I was not aware that they disabled A57 cores in OS updates to control the thermals. I don't think Chinese OEMs are going to ignore benchmarks and downclock SD 888/8 Gen 1 to manage thermals properly. If their history is anything to go by, they would rather let the phone heat up and get top scores in synthetic benchmarks, than control the heating and get better user experience.

                            And the price comparison should be done between SD 870 (preferred option by OEMs) Vs SD 8 Gen 1 (the one that you are suggesting that OEMs should be using in mid-range phones). Given the budget constraints of mid-range phones and 8 Gen 1 costing even more, using SD 870 makes more sense for mid-range phones.

                                Phones with 810 had cores A57 disabled. This is why they got cooler after updates.
                                810 runs much hotter than 8g1, by far. Huge difference.
                                No phone with 8g1 gonna reach 65 celsius while browsing on chrome.

They seem to be obsessed with synthetic benchmark scores for some silly reason, without focussing on the user experience (consistent performance, comfortable to hold, battery life). Given the fact that they have NEVER done the CPU downclocking to improve thermals/consistent performance/battery life (and SD 8 Gen 1 costs more than SD 870), isn't it better that they use SD 870 in mid-range phones and price them accordingly?

                                    Snapdragon 870 kinda getting old now unless they did some improvement in a lot of ways to make sure that f5 is worth of an upgrade from the overly good and cheaper f3

                                    unless this is the same case with Snapdragon 625 back then
                                    too much in stock dunno what to do with it

                                      My poco f1 has none issues. Now runs with pixel experience based on Android 12 and runs like new.
