Let's see what happens next year but currently, the Google Tensor chips perform poorly compared to Qualcomm's Snapdragons.
Some weirdos enjoy foldable phones. Even back in the day when Nokia candybar phones were the norm, they always picked some foldable Nokia or Motorola or Ericsson phone.

whoever81, 08 Dec 2022Thanks I hate it. Foldables are and will remain super niche. Are you using the term niche negatively? Niche is good actually. So many of the best quality and high-end products we have in the world are niche. In tech, the niche create their own market and thrive. Audiophile equipment is considered niche but has been around since the dawn of music recording and playing devices.

LOL, and will retail for around $2000 you can bet.
No way I'd pay that much for a stupid phone/tablet device.
The only reason they are so expensive, is because foolish people are willing to PAY
that much! Hard pass.

Would love to see someone make a Flip Foldable with a 7-7.5 inch internal display in a 3:2 ratio, and a 3.5 inch external display.
With 3 × 50MP cameras for ultra wide, wide and 5x zoom, all with autofocus. Selfie could be a 32MP sensor.

Definitely buying it if anyone made the closed non foldable sized version. 16:9 or 18:9 was just right for me.

Daemon Targaryen, 08 Dec 2022If the Fold 5 finally gets an S-Pen slot, it will be superi... moreIMO foldables have some pretty extreme negative qualities. The price is extremely high, they are much easier to break than a normal phone, they are thicker (when folded), bigger when unfolded (assuming they are not already big phones while folded) and there is very little choice. I have literally no interest in these things. I would prefer to see something like the follable phones, but in a smaller phone that could roll out to like the size of an 8" tablet or something. Either way, foldables are just a undesirable for me.

Now all foldable are the same :))) And you think the glass slab was boring. What you think now about samsung fold design for all ? Just change the logo and put the bach from the glass slab flagship camera on fold back :))))

If the Fold 5 finally gets an S-Pen slot, it will be superior to this Pixel Fold. Add the fact it has DEX support. I really don't understand the hype for these foldables especially the Z Fold line. People complain putting tablets in their pockets. Now they literally want a tablet in their pocket because it happens to fold.
