Love the small phones, but having people commenting on every single phone reveals 'too big' and stuffs feel really annoying to me.

The cameras can still be good, but they ain't just the best or everything. Just look at Oneplus 10T or Xiaomi 12T Pro. Amazing specs, dependable battery life, good cameras. But there ain't any stuffs like a fancier ultrawide, or a telephoto.

1. He puts unrelased phone in his top 5 🤣
2. People complaining "why only flagships?". Do I even need to bother explaining why is that?
3. S22 Ultra is great, but shutter lag is present, there is no such thing on iPhones. Also, Spen is 99% useless

Apart the incomplete S22 which does not come with charger and does not support at least 67W charing ideally 120W charging or better and fact that samsung claims it charges up toi 45W which is a complete lie. Also the phone uses lots of bloatware and many other things wjhich other phones have better i would completely agree with Ivans picking.
ZTE Axton 40 Ultra Aerospace edition would be my phone of the year or Honor magic 4 ultimate. Last 3 picks Flagship by Xiaomi, Motorola X40 and from a midrange it will be Oukitel WP19 for sure.

Flagship with a 20W or less charging cant be a flagship but a garbage waiting eons to charge battery.

Made as a pure android experience it could be phone of a year.
But 20W charging where company claims it supoports 45W no charge in the box and many else resulted in a huge dissapointment and a fail.

I've only just started using the S22U multi tasking and it's awesome. My last Samsung, a s8+ was just clunky. The side bar feature and ability to quickly split screen or pop up ap from the multi task is great. I certainly don't miss 16:9 screens anymore. Will be getting the S23U when pre orders come up.

Because they are lame and full of cuts to keep lower price. Midranges with best SoC are nothing worth over flagships of previous 2 years.
Buying 12s Ultra in 2024 will still be better than having K70 Pro.
OP 8 Pro is better than 10T.

Yes it's quite obvious that s22 ultra is a all in all beast (snapdeagon)
We might buy an iPhone for brand value but deep inside we all know that s22 ultra is the phone of the year or two.

Including an unreleased phone that you could've picked for next year's list is not particularly professional or insightful, but cool list other than that.

So that Ivan only cares about camera, well naturally, as reporters mostly care about that.
Its a really sad moment for the phone industry though, corporate interests have win and managed to mislead and focus the attention where they would justify those inflated prices without significant real life or innovative gains.
