correct.
But, as all the other 3D stuff, VR is largely rejected, but i have to admit it wont die or anything; there is a small group of fans.

3D phones, 3D Displays, 3D TV's, 3D cinema's and now VR; All are - mostly - rejected.

I think the problem is that 3D is good but only in certain use cases. I recently went to see the 'Stranger Things experience' in London England and the use of 3D to bring the characters alive and immerse you in the whole experience was awesome but when I tried a Nintendo 3DS a few years back it just gave me a headache and the novelty quickly wore off. I'm not sure phones or even TV,s for that matter are worth it but cinemas and larger venues it can work really well and actually enhance the experience.

Standard 3D will never work(good) as it force human eyes to focus on specific things when in real life our eyes jump from point to point constantly, its good for some basic scenes, but anything more complicated or dynamic.... its annoying and always will feel off.
Someone, maybe now or in future would need to create some new approach to 3D screens to make it work, as even mix of good screen and eye tracking cameras are not perfect right now.

I had the LG 3d. Actually wish LG and HTC combined the screens and camera, so both had 3d screens and 3d cameras. But we had to file transfer.

The best 3d method is the cross-eyed one.it doesnt require any additional hardware.

Cant wait for VR/AR to disappear as well. It has no use for phones.

The 2010's 3D fad was annoying because I now have 3D Blu Rays I cannot watch because all modern TV's don't support them and with PC VR you would have to rip them. I guess you could buy a PSVR but I don't own a PS5 and wouldn't buy just for that. 3D always comes back every few decades and fails again.

Mobile gaming is all the rage these days. 3D games would be far more immersive, hence there would be high demand for it from customers. Then manufacturers & app/game developers will also get onboard with it. It could blow up to be honest.

Was that Helio X25 even still in production when the Elefone P11 3D was released? I find that hard to believe.

I owned an HTC EVO 3D back in the day. The 3D aspect was mostly a gimmick, but it was impressive nonetheless.
That was 10-11 years ago though. Tech has improved a lot since then. I think some major brand should attempt a 3D phone comeback. It will probably be far more impressive now.

Just like with TV i owned an LG TV capable of 3D back in 2007 but apart hurting y visuals and eyes it gacve nothing good and that was an 55 Inch screen.
Even nowdays if i go to cinema i look only 2D movies because watching 3D or 4DX is painfull for me and my eyes.
I know and do understand 3D, 4DX, 5D or even a 6D technology is a future but as long as it hurts and as long as we need special equipment to watch those movies is a not ready to use technology among large audience.
This is just my personal feelings.
Maybe in close or far future we will have a chance to experience something like in Startrek movie a complete virtual room where anything that will happens will happens in real life too.
So if you get killed you die, if you had sex in said virtual room you will knw even in real life after exiting so called virtual room that you had sex and so on.
Even meeting people like family and friends whicha re long time dead shouldnt be a problem.
Startrek is just a movie right?
But in close or far future many of tech which is not ready for mass development or use and pepl experienced only in books or movies will come to future and life.
Just like for example the Newspaper from Harry Potter series where images could move and talk etc.

My 3D TV hasn't seen electricity since 2018 I think. That's how fashionable TVs are in late 2022. I do almost everything on my phone (80-90%), and the rest on PC.
If Samsung would achieve the 3D-ness of Avatar on their phones, I'd try one. Why not? Just make them without the need of 3D glasses.
