Discharging and charging can cause overheating, which can adversely affect performance.

I'm saying that even when the phone is in my bag or pocket, I still have to deal with wires wearing out simply by being attached to the power bank and the phone. With a battery case I don't have to worry about that.

They could do something like LG did back then. Slide on battery. I think that's would ensure water resistant and dust resistance. It's genius.

You can charge your own power bank and use it to charge your phone. You can charge the battery separately, or charge your phone with a power bank to save your data. Wait until your phone is fully charged. There are also basic phones that can make calls and send texts. Be sure to take care of all replaceable batteries.

Spare batteries are best charged beforehand with a charging dock, I agree.

Remember to charge your phone safely. Adding a battery to your phone is complicated. Non-replaceable batteries can be charged wirelessly (built-in). Check the quality of new batteries from the store, and remember to charge all batteries separately or with a power bank.

Anonymous, 26 Dec 2022Why use both when you can use a better power bank?In my experience, battery cases are better when I'm actually holding the phone in my hands and doing things on it, or when the phone is charging in my pocket or bag. With power banks you either have to deal with a wire (for wired charging) or somehow have it stick to the back of the phone (for wireless charging). And for me, wires in particular break far more easily when I'm using them with a power bank.
As for replaceable batteries, directly charging the battery (such as through using a charging dock) is far more efficient than charging a power bank and then use it to charge your phone, and you're wearing down only one battery each time, rather than two (you think power banks don't lose capacity?). On top of that, when using a power bank, I have to wait for the phone to charge, while I can immediately get a full battery by swapping out an empty one.
And I don't use both at the same time. Battery cases are better when your use case requires that you're using the phone continuously (such as a gaming session) or when the battery isn't user replaceable. Replaceable batteries are better in all other situations.

Yes please, removable batteries are just so much better, you could have 2 batteries, one charging and one in a phone, then just swap or both charged and one in backpack.

that users can easily remove and replace their batteries....
My peeps, this does not mean that we shall see something like in the old days whereas you were able to have 2 packs in case you needed one extra as a backup...
If you basically read documentation or just look up an ifixit guide, almost EVERY phone or device has a battery that is easily replaceable.
In other words,, are we going back to the good ol days where a phone was seen as a tool and being designed as such? Probably not.
