Pixel 7a is difficult. leaks promised 90Hz display and a 64Mp IMX787 main shooter.
couple this with Tensor G2 and 8Gb RAM and we are looking at something which is better than pixel 6 at a lower price? too good to be true..? probably they not gonna follow Pixel 6a route with its top-tier Tensor and will opt to go Pixel 5a instead by putting something like SD 780G.

finally a 6.3" phone with the same pro camera with telephoto.. the only thing holding me back though is the lack of super fast charging

Anonymous, 23 Dec 2022Probably faster than your RedmiMaybe slightly faster than my close to 2 year old cheap Redmi K40. If they were consuming the same amount of power and producing the same amount of heat though idk. Samsung loves to use twice the amount of power and produce enough heat to give you first degree burns for a tiny improvement in performance though. They do not make efficient chips.

The issue there is that Samsung has never made a good SoC. TSMC has always been better and Samsung has never created any competition. So when Samsung, with their poor yields, slower, hotter, and less efficient SoCs, came to Qualcomm with probably a slightly lower price than TSMC, they accepted. And that resulted in the horrible 888 and 8 Gen 1. Look up Golden Reviewer if you want to see what I mean. You may think I'm just exaggerating here, but every chip Samsung has gotten their hands on has been horrendous.

Which is exactly why Samsung doesn't belong. Nothing good has come from them existing in the SoC market.

Since most chinese phones Lenovo and Motorola are good examples along with Nokia which also have pure android exprience,
So once again since most chinese phones ofers a lot better specs for same pricing as google gives this not going to sell pretty well.
Gogole should stay with android.
There is nothing bad with pxiel series apart the pricing which is far higher than manufacturing costs and some midrange specs like camera charging speeds, battery diskspace and ram etc.
