So… could the rumoured “smaller pixel” that was going around actual be the “slightly smaller pixel 8” instead of a new “pixel mini”? I’m disappointed… I guess in the future I’m gonna have to jump ship back to iOS for the 13 mini after all 😔

So basically, copy paste from Google for every year.

Nothing remotely interesting. For 2023, I'm looking forward to the Xperia Ace IV

Kangal, 23 Dec 2022Just remember guys: the more variants they have, the worse ... more2023 is going to be the real test for the Pixel 6 series. Let's see how Tensor will hold up.

Just remember guys: the more variants they have, the worse the experience is.
That applies to Hardware QC, Software Bugs, and longevity of support.

They were having problems already with the Nexus line, and it mostly continued with the Pixels as well. I think the Pixel 4XL and Pixel 5 were the models with the LEAST issues, that's how long it took for them to improve. Not sure about the Pixel 6/7 lineup on their Exynos/Tensor SoC, time will tell how they age.

As much as everyone loves to hate Apple, they have better customer support than other OEMs (in general), and they also have stricter Software standards, longer support, and better Hardware QC. Samsung is not bad, but only for their flagships.

Anonymous, 23 Dec 2022Pixel 8a for 500$ lol. At this rate they will price themsel... moreAt that point, Google is going to have to ask Samsung for a processor that limits the performance to Snapdragon 6 levels to keep the price low (not an issue so long as the software updates keep on coming).

They'd better work on improving battery life in those next generations

Pixel 8a for 500$ lol. At this rate they will price themselves out of the budget market just like oneplus did a few years ago. They should introduce a new budget series

Even though the G2 is a small improvement, Google needs to take a good look at its G3.

                  samsung pixel

Finally... Although they could bring closer the launch of the small Pro model... I am waiting for such an Android phone for years.
