Same size as it 6inch, 2:1, thicker=more battery ... moreAnd how many more of these asus would need to sell to make same amount of money asus earns with flagships only policy?
Dont you think the lower margin per unit is why asus gave up on midranges few years ago?
Not everyone is able to make a $100 phone and sell it for $250-300 like Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo do.

UltraHD, 01 Jan 2023Did you even read what i wrote? I said SUPPORT. No software... moreAwesome. Apple forces users to update iOS at risk of many bugs otherwise we cant use apps. So I have to choose between using apps or super high risk of bugs.
So, phone like S6 with android 7 (2016) can run more apps than iphone 6s with iOS14(2020) when both are 2015 devices.
I just got phone that ships with android 12 (device from mid 2022). I do not have to install a single update to keep using it for 7 years if I want to.
If I do not install single update on iphone/ipad, in 2 years I am not able to use many apps already.

Xiaomi , bbk sell great but never close to asus in terms of quality hardware and engineering . asus , sony , lenovo are underrated ..These days People just like flashy fragile stuff that would woo them on first look and break down completely the next day

For a long time Asus is selling high end phones only that a select group of people buy. The low and mid speced phones a gone from their portfolio i have recommend and baught almost 12+ phones from the brand for including zenfone 5(intel), zenfone max pro M1(5 pieces and 3 people are still using it till date as they only find the camera to be avrage rest is top notch no lags buttery smooth).
Zenfone laser, zenfone 5z, zenfone L1 lite, max pro M2
Zenphone 3.
And the sad part is the hardware was so good and bang for the buck. Still ASUS is an unknown brang on the streets in INDIA.
I own a TUF 15 laptop
Asus needs to make a comeback in the lower segment to make an impact and also flip camera man bring them back

I still find it ironic to see people keep mocking Sony phones when they can still deliver Android 13 OS updates in 2022. I can agree that two OS update is not enough, but most people change phones every year or two anyway, so that seems alright.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 2023Totally unstabilized vs gimbal stabilization, big differenc... moreOIS is only useful when shutter speed is between 1/4s - 1s.
Nothing else.
It is not made for video, cameras with only EIS always have better stabilization. The fact videos ate shaky when phones with OIS/EIS the user turn off EIS is proof.
Lack of OIS is impacting daylight quality

Good hardware, okay software not bloated like in Samsung, it is quite sad that ASUS misses on the software updates.
I own a ZenFone 6, and it is a very capable device, the large battery makes it endure the years better, but the software updates stopped in August of 2021 with the June 2021 security update, 2 years after being released. With the latest models being the same, a conscious user that keeps a phone for 5 or more years will stay away from ASUS, these are not 200€ devices...

Anonymous, 01 Jan 2023Stop giving updates too much importance. Android 13 is abso... moreWhy are you even worrrying abt it being heavier when chipsets are getting more advanced too every year? I had even been using A12 on a snapdragon 845 device and it still performed pretty well without any stutter or crash 🤷

Anonymous, 01 Jan 2023Stop giving updates too much importance. Android 13 is abso... moreAndroid 13 is much smoother than previous versions. The same way you can say windows 10 was better but it isn't. Windows 11 is better overall. The newer the better. Rarely the opposite.

Stop giving updates too much importance. Android 13 is absolutely pointless. There's nothing better in it than Android 12. I'm surprised they called it a new Android verison!
Android 12 was no better than Android 11 either due to arguably worse, heavier UI. Only good thing was long screenshot option, which Asus and many other OEMs already had in A11 and previous versions, so A12 is pointless too.
Best Android version is 10 and maybe 11.

By the way, Zenfone 9 suffers a lot from oversharpening. Not sure about ROG phones

Why should Asus make a large flagship when pretty much every other manufacturer churns them out to the near-exclusion of anything else?

That is exactly h... moreIf you go to decimals, my S22 is dimensionally smaller. I guess these are what we now define as a Compact.
To be fair, the same has happened in the Car world - the VW Polo / Seat Ibiza no longer as small as they used to be.

In software support are amazing only Apple and Samsung, the rest of companies are either horrible or good enough.
