Literally since Note 10, there has been almost no progress. Even they don`t stop putting in the bad 8mp UW and 2mp macro cameras, almost useless. Xiaomi used to lead the mid-range and low-range phones, these days they are just dissapointing. Not to talk about bad update politics, and bloated MIUI. Pixel phones suddenly look much more appealing.

official MI India website states, Pro + to get 2 years of Software & 4 years of security updates, not sure what its like for normal Pro Varient.
Had hope they would have launched with Android 13 out of box :(.

Previously had the Chinese variant of the Redmi note 12 pro+ but decided to return it due to the video quality. EIS was only present at 1080p 30fps so 1080 60fps and 4k 30fps were kind of useless (without a gimbal). Not sure if this had something to do with the processor restriction or was just because of company policy. If they added eis at 4k to the global variant and improved the overall video quality then it would be excellent for the main camera as photos were very good, especially indoors in mediocre lighting where there was hardly any noise.

Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G Indian Variant is plain better than Redmi Note 12.
