And also,only the removable back of the phone is alluminium, the rest is plastc (polycarbonate). I think it's not the best example. I had that phone for a while, it was very good and if Nokia used that design in a bigger vessel it would be great :) unfornately it would run Windows...pitty!

I'm not Samsung fan, but i need admit S4 is better than HTC One and Xperia Z, and S4 looks better than S3, if i needed to choose i take S4 ,because it has overal performance the best for now

Just samsung has removable but ugly design.
Htc one iphones xperia z........
All of theme non removable so this is not a mager problem it is you own problem.
At least when i drop the phone it won't break.
Or the battery won't get out so my phone still working.

Only excuse the haters are coming up with is Plastic which is outstanding. No hater is talking about performance and that's why choice of the millions, for once again, would be Galaxy. Kudos to Samsung for such a marvellous device. One is Two and Z is all gimmicks. S4 will sell in millions. Design is good overall. Can't believe how someone could find it ugly. Xperia is good but not so good I would spend my hard earned money on it. Never found HTC good. Going aluminium too won't gonna reverse their future which is sadly but understandable dark. They wasted their opportunity and hence are paying the cost. No marketing, continuous neglect to the users needs, over priced products, gimmicks, ....list is long.

You can find this out if you read some of the phone reviews out on the net.
The S4 is made with polycarbonate though

To see the true strength of the polycarbonate shell, people really should watch the 'will it blend' video on youtube featuring SIII vs iphone5, and notice how the SIII was simply boucing up and down on the spinning blades like ninjas while the iphone with it's aluminum body already being shreded to tiny pieces. That my friend, is polycarbonate's strength.

Did any of you forget that samsung is making policarbonate phones - because of replaceble battery and micro sim slot or (double sim slots) - can you replace your battery or insert sd card od your fancy alluminium HTC etc...??? NO YOU CAN NOT! - this is functional vs fancy!

It's sad how apple fans thinks that people care much of what's the building material
Galaxy s4 will sell like hot cakes, and Samsung haters will hater it more
If any of Apple , Sony , HTC was the leader of smartphone market , we would see a product that repeats for 3 years
Samsung would not do that
