Windows ends support for Windows 7, Windows 8.1 is getting the axe too

That inbuilt aero glass effect was awesome in windows 7, no need for third party apps.
Windows 11 is good but that aero effect should be there as an option.

The usual slowdowns of older machines usually due to aging old hard drives. Simply upgrading to SSD can breath new life to these machines (and adding more RAM helps as well).

Hahaha. Not really. They sure are able to run W10 but at what cost? Let me tell you. First of all you should remember that so called "Windows 7 machines" are roughly from 2010. My laptop is a mid ranger from 2013 and it came preloaded with Win 8.1. It worked fast back when it was new. But then I installed W10.. After all the updates in the last few years it works at a snails pace, everything is painfully slow and sluggish. Clean installation didn't help either. I recently reinstalled Win 8.1 again and guess what, it's 10x faster for me

I can't think of any visible reason why they consider Windows 10 or 11 is better than 7. The file explorer of Windows 7 is a lot better in my opinion. So are ANYthing else such as picture viewer, start menu, my computer, etc. I will continue using Windows 7 for my paperwork.

Didnt think any OS lower than 11 or 10 which ever is the newest. Was gonna get any support. Its no wonder ppl still used the windows 7 for old games without a worry about security.

I use ... moreyeah right.. i'm on Windows 11 already year now.. so far none crash or some kind of other ''bugs'' appeared on me, because i'm reading on other posts a lot of bad things for W11, and i wonder why those issues never happen to me so far, was using W10 too, and everyone was saying how ''bad'' is.. and none issues with that too.. 🤷

Go for Windows 11. You won't regret. It is great. Even works well with unsupported hardware.
