I am not sure if the explanation for the low adoption of the surface duo was really the non-foldable screen... Rather the outdated specs and the miserable support / updates...
A foldable screen alone won't change that

Sad. Time to be like everyone else with the fugly tall and narrow form factor.
I totally not going to miss the awesome Duo 2 screens which I was totally hoping that Duo 3 would be miraculously eliminate the gap between the screens.
Yeah, the Duo 2 that I was so happy about when I bought it used from eBay after deciding it over Fold4.

Unless, of course, If MS put Windows with regular AMD or Intel cpu into this then I'm sooo sold!

I still can buy 2 phones for a price of 1 fold.. 2 phones meaning 2 cpus 2 rams 2 storages, one charging while using the other. Now tell me which is a smarter buy?

Excellent, yet another Galaxy Fold copy. Where has the different individuality in the smartphone world gone nowadays? I miss the days when brands aren't afraid to try various ideas. Coming from someone like me who did own a Samsung Galaxy Fold before selling it in favour of an LG V50 with its detachable Dual Screen case, I can easily say that I'm not missing the whole foldable screen experience. I love the flexibility of using two different apps with a smartphone-like aspect ratio, something that foldable phones can never do. Plus, in LG's case, I can easily detach the Dual Screen case if I don't need it. Try doing that with foldable phones.

Daemon Targaryen, 11 Jan 2023It shouldn’t be called a Surface Duo anymore but a Surface ... moreIt's still duo . You just have to fold the screen enough times to reach there.

Daemon Targaryen, 11 Jan 2023It shouldn’t be called a Surface Duo anymore but a Surface ... moreI couldn't agree more. Since I sold my Samsung Fold for an LG V50 with its detachable Dual Screen case, I don't ever slightly miss my old foldable screen phone. If anything, I'm looking at the V60 to add to my phone collection. I am not going back to screen creasing ever again, that's for sure.

No thanks, I much prefer dual displays. Without it, I cannot use two apps in full size both at the same time. That is something foldable screens cannot ever do.

It shouldn’t be called a Surface Duo anymore but a Surface Fold. I know dual displays didn’t sell but it’s actually faster for multitasking. And it’s a more durable form factor. Get a Duo 2, the last true Duo.
