What's the big deal? iPhone 7/8/SE2/SE3 uses the same haptic feedback for their home button. Less moving parts and wear and tear.

Anonymous, 12 Jan 2023If they do that I'm not buying any more iPhones. Depending on the implementation. If its capacitive sensors, then the case will need to have cutouts to access just like TouchID.

Physical buttons are ALWAYS better than capacitive touch BS
I drive a Toyota because it has real buttons for everything and not touchscreen nonsense for changing volume, temperature etc

Xperia, 12 Jan 2023Also as "Successfull" as SLOFIES.
Remember Slof... moreI remember those embarrassing ads for that "innovation"🤣. This year they had also "Photonic engine" after "Deep fusion".😁 Other companies don't even think about giving a name to their algorithms, but Apple gives them multiple names.
Almost all of their promoted innovations of the recent years have been either gimmicks or repackaging of features others had already introduced, or simply things others would not consider as innovation.

Like always apple introducing innovative new features while android phones keep chasing spec sheets and a ridiculously high unwanted charging speed

How to tell everyone you want to make buttonless phone without telling everyone you want to make buttonless phone.
