Anonymous, 24 Jan 2023iPhone software support hasn't anything to do with bat... moreTrue, but I've only stated what Apple can do to make customers pay their new phones sooner.
Still Apple only benefits through the end cycle of your phone and they are not interested in killing the battery, at least they put some care into iPhone's battery so not it is not their intention to kill the battery at least intentionally and they only really benefits them at the end cycle of your phone and not killing your battery intentionally there's a difference

GorujoCY, 24 Jan 2023As greedy as Apple is, they are not intentionally trying to... moreiPhone software support hasn't anything to do with batteries tho, because the iPhone is flagship range phone, and with all flagships, long term support is expected. Apple can't reduce that or their sales will drop

Sin, 24 Jan 2023Yeah too many payed for reviews
big companies put small... moreThat's not true, Companies DO NOT Pay infleuncers to do their reviews and if they did they would legally have to be disclosed.
if you mean big companies like samsung and xioami and apple, samsung and xiaomi do not put small batteries, I will go as far as to say that 5000mAh capacity is gold standard imo and those are even present on budget phones
but yes, while you cant exactly open the phone to swap the battery, it is at least with time, patience and effort taken from you to replace it not that hard, look at Ifixit guides if you are still worried.
and yeah I hate that samsung put very small batteries on phones like the S22 and S23 not gonna lie I hate it.
also I have seen promises of 1600 cycles in fast charging so that isnt omittted
and we have proven from time to time that no, fast charging doesnt mean more heat and less cycles, espcially because they are managed, and if they charge fast enough they have less time to heat up to kill the battery
at least you are being a little more reasonable than others who argue and complain in the thread

Anonymous, 24 Jan 2023You are right 👍 Certain companies probably take a huge prid... moreYeah too many payed for reviews
big companies put small batteries in smartphones glow smartphones up so they can't be opened easily for battery change and faster changing means more heat and change cycles
The sad thing is that battery are so cheap in manufacturing that even budget smartphone could have any size battery you want in them with only bare minimum extra cost in manufacturing
So much more value for money is possible and battery life possible but most brands are really tight with battery capacity

Anonymous, 24 Jan 2023iPhone batteries are an exception tho. They lose their best... moreAs greedy as Apple is, they are not intentionally trying to kill batteries on a phone, in fact they are doing the opposite, I mean if they did that they might have as well downgraded their software support for 2 years and not 5 years like they do if they wanted the customer to switch to an iPhone quicker.
I agree that Apple should have communicated to the customer when they slowed down the iPhone 6 or 6s to prevent any issues and preserve the battery but it's not up to their own interest but I also get why they did that, they are okay if you are still using a 6 or 6s and they are trying to save you battery even thought heir actual motives is to get you a new phone, Regardless of improper communication between them it shows that Apple does still care where they can and again even if their interest is to get you a new phone
which unfortunately it is what it is. And again if they were interested in getting the customer to buy a new phone sooner, they would have shortened the software update, not make batteries intentionally die, they would prefer to slow down your device or give you less software updates based on their motives if they wanted that.

Anonymous, 24 Jan 2023iPhone batteries are an exception tho. They lose their best... moreMy Samsung Galaxy S8 lost most of the battery health it had in 1 year.. I only charged it with the bundled 15W charger. So far in my experience the slower the charging is the quicker the battery health goes down. Strange huh.

bulbulito.bayagbag, 24 Jan 2023There's a reason why chinese phones are cheap. I have ... moreUnfortunately for you I will have to counteract this but you were close enough, let's get into it:
1) Most bloatware that come with the phone *can* be uninstalled, and if it's a lot, use your god damn free time to uninstall them, not hard at all, you'll be surprised at how much you can increase just by taking the time to uninstall them. Also MIUI 14 from Xiaomi is soon to allow uninstalling core apps that you dont want so some chinese phone makers understands this situation and I love it
2) That's true mostly on budget phones and mid-rangers but use your intellect and simply remove and stop them, there are many guides on the internet to disabling ads on your specific chinese OS, i have done them on your xiaomi phone and added NextDNS as an extra layer to stop my phone from getting ads, simple as that
3) That is subjectable but there is flagship chinese phones still use IP68 Water rating like the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro and older, Oneplus 9 Pro and 10 Pro and Vivo X90 Pro+ so no they dont simply omit ip certification, I will go as far as to say that there's even mid-rangers with IPx5 certification. And besides Imo IP Certification can be a bit gimmicky as your phone will survive light rains or even some accidental splashes as long as you wipe it off sooner....

I really want smartphone too make important improvements in battery life
I just want the focus too be on having better and bigger battery in smartphone and on battery life and long-term battery health
Better battery technology is need am sure at some point or another a break though will happen here with new future battery technology
Bigger battery i really do think more value can be offered by having that extra battery size
7000mah 8000mah 9000mah
Am sure in some cases people just want have 18.000mah for maximum benefit but thickness is a problem with extra battery capacity unless you simply don't care and just want value for money or more battery life
User replaceable battery can we have this back
It's so much better if someone can just buy extra battery's and be able do battery replacements themselves

Samsung user, 23 Jan 2023Using chinese phone for too long clearly damaging your brai... moreMan that minority still buys a real phones not a incoimpleted product with no charger in the box which is a fail.
Man that minority buy real flagship phone which does charge your battery within 5-15 minutes in 2023 dying waiting to charge a battery on a 1500 eur device is just no.
Man my above said statements just proven any chinese brand is a lot better than garbage full of bloatware. Even GSMArena said and samsung proven it that they uses bloatware where your phone is significaly slowed down due to bad UI.
Source: https://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_a14_goes_on_sale_in_the_us_for_just_19999-news-57179.php
The A14 runs Android 13 with One UI 5 Core on top, a version of Samsung's skin intended for lower-end devices, which foregoes some of the features in order to not slow everything down.
Even Brazilian governemnt fined Apple for seling incomplete products because of lack of charger.
Brands which does not give comlete device are failed brands and thus cant be better.
Get your facts right.
Rest is just your useless blabbing where anyone will proves opposite.
Lastly for a half price most xiaomi, realme, motorola and any other devices will give twice as much specced devce as Samsung or Apple.
Just look at Moto X40 for example. Price under 500 no bloatware, complete device with charger and latest CPU and GPU. Show me one Samsung or Apple which does this.
p.S. i am not here to lecture you just proven why you are wrong.

If they can guarantee a battery health that remains above 80 percent after 1600 cycles then maybe I will consider a phone with fast charging

Anonymous, 24 Jan 2023In conclusion, fast charging kill a battery faster. The cap... moreHave you ever used a phone with faster than 33W charging? Silly question, clearly not. Otherwise you'd know what you just said isn't true. I charged my iPhone SE (2020) with a 5W charger for a year and it has 86% battery health, my iQOO 5 Pro was charged with 120W for 2,5 years and still lasts well over a day. I know the battery capacity is twice as much in the iQOO, but if you were right my phone should basically be unusable. That poor SE with the same usage needs to be charged 3 times a day.
Battery degradation is caused by heat, every charger will heat up your device, even a 15W charger. But I think it should be pretty obvius that if you charge with 120W charger your phone stays hot for about 10 minutes, with 15W it stays hot for 2 hours, so that's that. The slower the charging is the worse it is for your battery.

I dislike the fast changer and changing they just damage the battery and smartphone internals with heat over the long term
I have said fast changing over 65w is diminishing
Returns
But really even using fast changing at all is creating artificial problems with battery life not fixing existing problems
The actual way too fix the battery problem
1 Just have a bigger battery in the first place
Big 9000mah should be enough too get you through the day or two
2 Power saver one of the best ways make battery life last longer and better for long term battery health less change cycles
3 the power bank there very cheap and portable
And a good back up can easily buy more than one so space one just in case
Better changing habits are needed

[deleted post]In conclusion, fast charging kill a battery faster. The capacity becomes less sooner than expected. So for the best battery health one should always use slow charger 🙂
Hope that helped :) cheers

I'd rather have a guarantee that the batteries are easily replaceable, the phone is energy-efficient, etc... That way I'll know it'll always last the full day, and I can just let it charge overnight.
