29 January 2023

The worst part about these phones is not that they are slow, it's not that they are cheap... It's that they are all these big phones from the same company hitting different price points, but providing very little variety. You have to pick a big phone, but your only options are bad or worse.

From my own experience post purchase service is almost non-existing. Moto will send you from one lamp post to another to avoid taking responsibility for a faulty phone. It was once a great phone owned by Google.

My first cellphone ever was a Motorola T2288 back in 2000. Several times I have thought about buying some of their phones (Razr was amazing, Defy looked good too), but that was like 15 years ago.
And now? A dead brand to me, just like Nokia.

As long as it contains no bloatware UI unlike other android phones all Motorola phones are better and hotter deal.
UI is nothing but garbage which eats significant ammount of disk space and ram and slows down your phone greatly.
Even E13 running Go edition with only 2GB ram is way faster than most Samsung or Xiaomi phones with pricetag around 200.

Not hot beacasue the G73's direct comp is the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5g.. which has OLED, a marginally better chipset, and faster charging.

Only e13 is hot for me. That 2gb ram should be enough for Android go, and this unisoc is much better than any g25/35, exynos 850, sd 215... Just wanted 90hz screen for smooth scrolling, think that its not that much expensive, but stll its 120€ phone. Of someone want much better phone for almost the same price, poco m5 4/64gb is 150€ now, and its the vest phone for its price.

g53 is pure disappointment in display department

It seems that nothing from Motorola is left in these smartphones except for the logo - an ordinary Chinese phone, which is not surprising to expect from Lenovo.

Please make a good product at a good price, don't follow HMD's example

I have edge 30 neo, and got it for less than $300, it could be entry midranger. None of these phones are midrangers but they have midranger price. $300 for anything in G series is too much.
                          G series is garbage.

Xiaomi is another garbage where flagship still has usb2.0 and 1080p30fps for front camera. Not counted their mid-low range variation of models that varries by region eg. India is different from RoTW.

I'd rather buy an old Galaxy S10 and beat every single one of the phones in the list in terms of specifications, processing power, gpu power, camera.
                                Mid-range phones are e-waste garbage .

                                    g53 basically a downgrade compared to g51.

                                    i don't care about others.

dimensity 930 with imagine graphics sounds interesting . would love to see how it performs irl.

I have stopped buying Motorola. Their software support policy is absolutely unacceptable. Even regular patches are uncertain. When a phone is launched, buyers have no idea about updates and support. Except Edge series, nowhere Motorola talks about software support.
They make superb hardware, but uncertain software support is something that makes buyers think 10 times before buying Motorola.
I don't know why they are wasting resources on E series when they don't want to give adequate software support.
Even Motorola customer care people are unaware about these things.

Voted No for all, moto has been releasing to many model within a year. They should focus on releasing android version instead which is questionable since moto phone are pretty much stock android but always late when it comes to software update. Shame.
