The screen isn't getting more narrow, it's getting taller. So your 19:9 screen is the same width and horizontal resolution as the 20.5x9 screen on the new phone.
The only exception here may be Sony.

Re... moreNobody likes to put bigger batteries in cheaper phones. There's two reasons for smaller capacity on flagship devices:
1) insane charging speeds tend to require 2 or more smaller batteries just to split output to avoid damage.
3) no one wants thicker phones than they already are and there's less space for battery since typically motherboard and cooling solution is much larger in flagship devices and there's also wireless charging coils to add on top of battery + glass needs to be thicker than plastic due to fragility. Add weight to that than imagine how 6000+ mah batteries would fit. Look at rog phone, beast for sure but due to weight and thickness it's not suitable for daily driver for most people.

This makes sense. Recession bundled by the fact Apple and Samsung didn't do much to elevate the cellphone market. Pixel 6 released with terrible bugs and many had worries picking the 7 series up. OnePlus fell flat. Hard to get excited about phones in the past few years. Everything "new" is subjective to personal taste and people are now holding onto their phones longer

back then about 2000s, huawei network switches and routers can be installed with cisco ios, cisco internetworking operating system, and become cisco with much less price but tends to broken fast, this is the rise of huawei later on huawei buys 3com

Really fast cars have much worse gas mileage (and thus, total capable distance) than slower cars. It is similar with smartphones.
But another reason simply is because they like to put larger batteries on cheaper phones.

most brand try to save cost ... in the end ... they keep increase price and selling less spec ... the workforce demand increase payment ... the customer complaint about buying new models with less spec and more expensive

it has all the best of hardware with Qualcomm processor
expected to have the same features with better image sensor, preferably 1 inch sensor with carl zeiss optic, 32 bit 768 khz dac, 4k 144hz 6.8 inch amoled 16:9 excluding side screen ... intead ... samsung torn off those features and push the customers to spend more to get those torn off features
hoping to keep decline until those manufacturer start to manufacture the phone like it used to be with useful features, therefore the customer will not buy the same phone over and over again wih higher price

People haven"t got money to throw away nowdays,and mobile contracts are not over 12 months now,more 24 months or 36 months,but sim only contacts are cheaper to buy any if the consumer is happy with there phone,sim only is really better to buy,Apple & Samsung might create good phones but there getting more Expensive every year,removing certain feaures on phones deter people from buying them,plus the cost or running a phone isn"t cheap,Why can cheap Android phones have better batterylife than Premium phones,and thats why people keep there phones instead of buying a new one regular
