Spotify had a record 205 million premium subscribers at the end of 2022

It's the first music streaming service to surpass 200 million. Its monthly active users numbered 489 million in Q4. The company ended the quarter with a loss, however.

People who are actually into music don't listen to just a few of the same songs here and there. People want to hear full albums, and discographies of their favorite artists. Good luck finding that on YouTube, especially while you're working.
            Also, people used to buy CDs to support the artists, nowadays people wouldn't pay the price of 1-2 CDs to listen to music all day, all month long? Or get a family account? Come on. Why are you proud of stealing? You're not stealing from the big names, you're ruining all the small bands who will never become big.

                moved my premium sub down to the ad supported level and haven't logged on in a year now. I wont do until they launch a lossless level. its totally unacceptable that in 2023 they STILL don't support lossless even when they announced it almost 2 years ago now. Ive no interest in podcasts or audiobooks. I just want the best music quality which at the moment Tidal is giving me. Shame as i was a Spotify subscriber almost from the day they started.

                    Just get youtube vanced and put all the songs in a playlist in the order u want or click shuffle. The end. No need to pay and no ads. Imagine paying in 2023.
