Anonymous, 04 Feb 2023Ad or playstorePeople don't like ads, that's why they don't go for Chinese phone. Appstore revenue will still be low compared to sale of new model.
Even though apple products last long, when new model launches they make you feel that your 1year old device is inferior. Why is that? ( To sell more new models)

Not surprised with this report from apple. People are waiting for the iphone 15. Especially for the ultra.

Anonymous, 03 Feb 20231 account for multiple services, sure make things simple, b... moreWhat you said is true. But for me, Google services feel just unpolished. Is like they are releasing some services just to test the market, not to actually please their customers.
And I think the explanation for this, is that Google is primarily a software company, and it has its profits, mainly from collecting data. So, no need to have good services.

Just look what happened to Google Stadia.
Also, they have Google TV, but is nowhere near as good as Apple TV (which has also Apple TV+, with lots of Apple originals series). They have Google Play Pass, but is nowhere near as good as Apple Arcade (even though Google has more titles, this are just Google Play Store games from which they removed the ads). YouTube Music is nowhere near as good as Apple Music. Even though, in this situation, I have to admit Spotify is the best. Still, Apple Music is not far behind.

Is not necessarily about the money, is about the quality of services they provide. But, even when we talk about money, I found that something like Apple One bundle cost me less than when I needed for example Google Play Pass, Spotify, or Netflix/Disney+/HBO Max subscriptions separately. Not to mention, I had 3-4 separate accounts. Now, I just have 1 Apple ID.
Is about the simplicity of things. Maybe, I am a particular case, and I am sure that many people don't share my views on this matter, but for me, now Apple services are the best (simple and with quality content).

No one uses 6 year old IPhone as a daily driver. Doesn't make sense to have to keep charging a daily driver every now and than. Even the newest iPhones can't last the whole day irl.

This is amazing. Android companies should learn from Apple. If you make a phone with good specs, make it last for 6 years, you can also capture huge marketshare. But if you keep selling disposable e-waste, your marketshare will be tenuous, and you can decline easily. Learn from the Apple and Toyota way of creating long-lasting high-quality products.

You can count on Apple to put a positive spin into lower sales of Iphones. Apple using these different type of marketing words for the past decade. And its still valid for the main media.
Its clear here... Apple overpricing their products while innovating less.
Apples walled ecosystem and duopoly advantage is an amazing thing holding developers, investors and customers together.
