Anonymous, 12 Feb 2023first poco x4 gt its not flagship its just a midrange. sec... moreWhat favoritism lol? Samsung released Android 13 to basically all devices like 2 months ago. Be it "mid ranger" A series or flagship S series. There is no flip flopping around there. But the A53 doesn't have the flagship specs on paper like all other Chinese models.

Also what difference does it make if X4 GT was "just released" not long ago? How does that change anything when software on it is not as new as it should be?

rizki1, 12 Feb 2023vote yes for Pro, because this is the cheapest 778G phone..... moreCheapest 778G phone? Nope, it isn't. Realme GT Master Edition is cheaper and there migt just be even cheaper options. Flagship level screen? Yea sure, 2020 flagship level maybe, but even that's a stretch.

The early bird price of the Poco X5 Pro in the Netherlands was 369€ (Germany 349€) and after early bird 399€. I got it with a 10€ discount for 359€. I really like the phone but don't have the same "great value for money" feeling as when I purchased the Poco X3.
And they should ditch the macro camera and replace it with a depth camera.

The x5 pro, although it has many features such as snapdragon 778g and 120hz fhd amoled screen with pwm dimming, Xiaomi seems to have done compromise in build quality, such that this phone is snapping in half like a biscuit when bended.

Get G100 or A52s. I've been recommending these two for well over a year now. Shame that nothing newer is recommendable because either headphone jack or microSD card or both are lacking.
I hoped that Poco X5 pro would be added to my recommendations but it loses by not having a microSD slot. I could have considered it if it had 870g as G100's camera is poor, but it's 778g makes it no better than A52s.

Note that from xiaomi only "Mi" phones are good quality . "Redmi" and poco are trash . If you don't believe read 27000 redmi k50i comments on this website

Only note that all chinese companies are state owned companies . Although they come with different names and all . When things go south they have no freedom to protect consumer privacy. They will do whatever their govt says.

second xiaomi update based on phone release not based on favoritism like samsung.
third poco x4 gt just released recently not even 1year.

you should be happy because poco x4 gt still saving those 2 major android os update

meanwhile poco x3 pro/poco f3 get the last major os update. for future only get to miui 16-miui 18 without os update.

SShock, 12 Feb 2023It's also weird. For some reason my Poco X4 GT got And... moreYeah it's their looparound to the whole "X years of software support" promise because they don't update the Android version but only the version of their skin on top of a previous Android base OS version. And on top of that, they don't even incorporate whatever upgrades base Android makes to their OS - Notification History is still not a thing on MIUI...

                    It's infuriating

HopeFilledIdiot, 12 Feb 2023Poco's software update cycle is abysmal. It's also weird. For some reason my Poco X4 GT got Android 13, but not MIUI 14. Other phones were launched by Android 13 and already had MIUI 14. Others are still stuck on Android 12. It's a mess. I'd buy Xiaomi phones with greater enthusiasm if they had more consistent and reliable software support. Because on the higher end, they price their phones the same as iPhones and Galaxy S phones, but offer none of software support.

Voted no on both because no USA support but the prices are good, especially on the pro. However, removing the MicroSD slot kills my enthusiasm for such a phone.

                          To me
X5 PRO is hot lava cake. Coz it offers 1920hz PWM dimming.

Hey GSMArena, you should start adding PWM Dimming is Specs.

Poco's software update cycle is abysmal.

€300 is a good price for a SD778G if the Poco F4 doesn't exist at €329. At €300 it's at the same price bracket as the Samsung A52s, but the X5 Pro has a better camera.

Won't want one if I was looking for a mid range phone

Rather disappointing thought it be bad
                                      But not this bad

                                      No interest in there's phones

True Poco X3 Successor in 2023 (!) has at least:

                                        - sdcard slot
                                        - headphone jack
                                        - UFS 3
                                        - 5000 mAh battery
                                        - a SoC that doesn't suck

                                        These don't cut the mustard.
