Keep underpaying the staff in India, this is what you get in return.

Anonymous, 14 Feb 2023Indian quality I guess They should have done this in Vie... moreThat's right, I agree with you

The news embodies some strange narrative. It's not like Tatas ate making it themselves. It's a JV. And it's not like the other JV partner is making it for the first time. Tata were in a JV with Mercedes and many of global leaders. Nobody has complained about quality regarding high end brands. There was an effort by some c c p funded agents to sabotage a former plant n India previously by funding worker protests and then riots. It could be related to that. If it's true it needs some heavy investigation and some very severe punishment.

[deleted post]Even then Apple will still manufacture in India. Because they want quality but with very much less money, which can happen only in developing countries.

After India they might shift to Africa. Quality, they can refine over time but at a cheaper price, even USA is not capable of it.

Don't worry, end user will get the same thing but with increased price.

Anonymous, 14 Feb 2023Indian quality I guess They should have done this in Vie... moreVery true. Even sneakers that are made in Vietnam are really good.

we don't know it's a final product or just a trial products from tata,
because Apple's major supplier like Foxconn, pegatron, Wistron already have plants in India.
Tata doesn't have any history of making phones eventually they'll learn.

I warned Apple about results of manufacturing in India.
China, Taiwan have historically been more reliable production partner for my companies rather than India.

I would be interested s in which markets these phones are intended for.

                    Quality take sometime guys.

It needs a lot of efforts and mastery along with guidence.

It's the first time that it's happening, so let the things settle

                      Indian quality I guess

They should have done this in Vietnam like Samsung did.

Tata's cars themselves are marred with niggles and MAJOR QC Issues. Hopefully working for Apple will teach them what rejecting goods means, even if it hits your bottom-line and not let the end customer bear the brunt by going to their pathetic service centers by sacrificing half of their personal lives.
