Koishi Komeiji, 22 Feb 2023you know, 2020s mobile game are way more worse and more tox... moreYeah. Most games back then had ads and one time purchases. Now, you have cut the rope now having a $10/month VIP subscription. Now you have gacha stuff and now you have live service games like Apex Legends that get shut down and all the stuff you had in that game are gone forever, including things you bought. More and more we are moving to "own nothing and be happy" and it's all the consumer's fault. This needs to stop. If I bought a PS2 or a Wii/GameCube game, it would be shipped complete, and only took up console memory in the form of save data. Once you buy the games, you own them forever and could re-sell them if you wanted. Now, it's 8th-gen era, and you buy an Xbox. You must have an internet connection to even set the console up at all or it's a paperweight. It will all be e-waste if Microsoft simply ceased to exist unless people find a way around it. Now you have consoles that only work with their included disc drives to make repairs harder. Now games are released unfinished and require internet or a day one update to work. Grand Turismo 7 servers are down? Guess you can't play the game. New update increased prices of cars and you can't not update because you need internet to play the game? That sucks. Now games are released with zero optimization since RTX 4090s exist to run the alpha I mean release builds of the games that developers I mean publishers release.

Anonymous, 23 Feb 2023Lmao. This behavior is what pushed a lot of devs into this ... moreAnd there are plenty of modded games too. No matter how many microtransactions will they put, people will always find a way to bypass it.

OblivioN, 22 Feb 2023i remember when it came out.. a weird but awesome game! ... moreThe ads have evolved too, along with slimey devs putting $1 games into Premium section but still infest them with iap micros.
Wait 30secs, then wait another 10 secs as the X (close) button loads. And maybe a few more secs in case it forced a pop up window or opened another app.
How did consumers react? Wow, playable ads. No major pushbacks lol.

Tigolebitties, 22 Feb 2023Lucky Patcher and modded games exists... Lmao. This behavior is what pushed a lot of devs into this microtransaction bs, ontop of duping people into spending $1 bite size purchases without making them notice they pile up to 1k usd or more thru the course of time.

i remember when it came out..
            a weird but awesome game!

sad times we live in.. for now we are completely flooded with "Pay to win games" with no soul and infested with ads...ads everywhere.

This is sad. Upon hearing the news I immediately went to the play store and paid the $1 to get this game before it disappears from the play store. Hopefully this will allow me--or my future descendants, to play this game years or decades down the line.

Mobile gaming market has always been predatory, people have sunk their life savings in one day on a mobile game and it took it happily without red flagging anything.

That doesn't make any sense. Companies know about piracy. Stop selling products isn't a solution.

was thinking of downloading it for nostalgic purpose, but hey it still charges even though they are delisting it
meh, forget about it... not gonna lose sleep over it

Sucks that these people became the main target of developers. Easy to suck in with f2p model and conditioned to a life of perpetual payment. For a random chance to get something rare or skip time gates.

Apple is a perfect example of this. As for the PSP I still have mine, still works and the thing is just bulletproof. Funny enough I have Angry Birds on it and on my PS3 so no need for this. As for Rovio trying to make money on this, all you need to do is sideload the APK on Android and all sorted! You cant do that with Apple very well.
