Apple is a perfect example of this. As for the PSP I still have mine, still works and the thing is just bulletproof. Funny enough I have Angry Birds on it and on my PS3 so no need for this. As for Rovio trying to make money on this, all you need to do is sideload the APK on Android and all sorted! You cant do that with Apple very well.

So, fairly monetized classic angry birds was drawing their fanbase from their other games that are heavily monetized so they decided to kill the classic. What a joke of a company, they are outdoing EA, Nintendo, Ubisoft and Paradox all in one move

Those who started gaming from microtransactions and advertisement in games didn't know what a proper game is.
Today there are useless games like endless runners etc, no story nothing. Most of the games are just money grab.
Previously games had a one time price and full story to give player an experience like prince of persia etc. Even PSP had better games than today's powerful smartphones.
As of now only handful of games are good for mobile and most of them are multiplayer or battle royale.

Times like this make me truly appreciate the open source nature of Android. I can easily find the APK file online and keep it for further use on other phones. That is something I definitely cannot do with iOS or even iPadOS.

Of course they say they want to focus on other games, but then why is it still available on the App Store? I think it‘s exactly because APKs are available for free on Android and not available at all on Apple.

Anonymous, 21 Feb 2023I don't follow your logic. You mean cracked versions? ... moreThe people who don’t know about APK will still pay for Apps on the Play Store, but if you know about it and don’t want to explicitly support the developer, there’s no reason not to just use the APK or do I miss something. I also don’t remember ever paying for an App on Google Play. On the other hand, I paid for apps on Apple App Store. Numbers also show that people spend less money on Play Store. Only Pay To Win games make sense on Android really, because In-App Purchases can not be avoided.
