    You know what other hinge pinches the screen even less? A hinge where the display is on the outside.

    The Mix Alpha and Mate X were superior.

They controlled the foldable market and made a ton of money while thoroughly testing their droplet hinge so the Z5 will maintain the advantage of being water resistance with teardrop type hinge. That is something the other manufacturers have yet to figure out in 3+ years.

              Samsung didn't give it all up on the 1st date.

                        Just when competition for the folds is increasing in the west it uses water drop hinge. What did samsung do all these years?. No big front screen on flips , no creaseless gapless phone until now.

                                        At the end, everyone has licensed Motorola's hinge.
                                        Motorola hinge was simple but highly effective. Sadly the way of bending the screen against the hinge was patented. Only Samsung tried to resist it because of their pride but failed finally.
