      Pretty sure it'll run Snapdragon 6 Gen 1. Don't care about the design as I still love Sony design a lot for not having notch and punch hole on the screen. Apple is still using the iPhone 8 body for the 2022 SE, and yet I don't see "techies" complained about it. 🙄🙄

            Larger sensors than ones used by 10iv would not increase price more than $15 per unit.

              Now it uses 1/2.8" , much smaller.
              Software does not make miracles. You have zero clue.

              10iv has 1/2.8" + 1/4" + 1/4.5" ... you think software can help? 🤦🏻‍♂️

              It needs better sensors. Larger ones.

                I was holding a 5 IV and realize how the aspect ratio is perfect for reading whilst hand held and lying on the bed.

                I shall get this one.

                        Anonymous, 25 Feb 2023Software does not help 1/2.8" .. For daytime shots you're not missing out on much if you're the type of person to buy a mid range phone like this. Stop comparing devices that are way outside of what you would consider, or even have a use for, to flagships. It doesn't accomplish anything, it just proves that you know nothing about what parts can be included for the price.

                                - RGB LED notification light
                                - Proper proximity sensor
                                - Selfie camera without cutting to the screen
                                - Front-facing stereo speakers
                                - To get a grip while holding the phone
                                - For watching videos & movies, this is far better as no cutout interrupting the screen
                                .
                                And the bezels aren't as thick as they were on the XZ1 or XZP (2017), and for phones with small bezels and no cutouts that still aim for the aforementioned features (without sacrificing), the screen-to-body ratio is already adequate for daily use.
                                .
                                Mind you the only other brand to offer similar features to Xperia with thin bezels I mentioned above is Asus ROG Phone series.
