      why fix something that is not broken...what is important is the build quality...software...performance camera/games or the user needs...security

      others focus more on designs :cough: :cough: xiaomi and their phones lately do have some design/hardware flaws and even their software now sucks compared to their old pre-redmi note 5 and xiaomi mi 5 series where they prioritize user satisfaction first...even pixel 7 is plagued with design/hardware flaws

        pretty much the only vendor offer notchless design nowdays, need no redesign at all... except you guys really love stupid notch or pill shaped design

          at last the midrange have dual speaker, will be buy it at the end of year yay.

            I actually wished they'd make it bigger. That's a true consumer device. Like 6.5-6.7 inches big.

              Didn't we have those bezels on all phones in 2017? Maybe even 2018? I think those bottom an top bezels on Xperia phones are far smaler then on any 2015 phone, but okay maybe it's just my OCD so nevermind me lol.

However, Sony will not use the same Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 processor inside the Xperia 10 V, as 4G1 will undoubtedly be reserved for the Ace IV, given that the Xperia Ace series is Sony's sole entry-level phone after the L series was discontinued. Sony would rather use the same SD 695 inside the Xperia 10 V than move down to the SD 4 series if you insist that 6 Gen 1 isn't possible.

                  This isn't counting that the Xperia Ace IV will have a screen upgrade (from 720p+ IPS LCD to 1080p+ OLED) and possibly international availability outside Japan for the first time. As a result, they will not use the SD 4G1 for the Xperia 10 V because it will cannibalize the Ace IV and 10 V together. The Snapdragon 6 series was always used in the Xperia 10 series and its spiritual predecessor, the XA2 series.

                  And if 4K video recording indeed returns to the Xperia 10 V, it will certainly be using SD 6 Gen 1, as 4G1 didn't support 4K recording and Sony has almost no history using the 7 Series at all. 6 Gen 1 hasn't made it into any devices right now, but that doesn't mean SD 6G1 doesn't exist. If the rumored Honor devices with SD 6G1 do not launch or launch later than 10 V, 10 V could be the first device to be powered by SD 6G1.

                      Hopefully, they add dual speakers on the 10 V and improve the camera software

                        Sony made clear there is zero chance of screen hole. They consider annoying and intrusive. Xperia to them is pocket Bravia. Nobody at sony Japan wants cutouts.

                        Ace has notch because it is Sony China side project. Despite being docomo exclusive device.

                        Sony was first to patent UDC in 2012. And obviously knows this tech will never be good enough while zte and samsung keep wasting time on this.

                        Micro Matrix by sony semicon allows bezels to be cut in half. 1v is 4mm shorter than 1 iv.

                        When the second speaker is supposed to be? Because besides usb port is awful place. I can say because I have used phones with front x bottom speaker. Bottom speaker is super bad experience. Even worse those phones with speaker on the top frame like motorola and xiaomi.

                              It's like they are not even trying.
                              Since 2018 same bezels.

                                No OEM out there are creative with Industrial design any more. Maybe Unihertz and Doogee with their rugged phones with 22000 mAh batteries. The S23 Ultra is an S22 Ultra rehash. The iPhone 15 Pro renders looks no different than the 14s.

                                Wish Sony would just get into foldables especially flip phones since they were popular in Japan for a long time and Sony makes tall, narrow phones.

                                  - cam hardware of 5iv
                                  - gorilla victus both sides + metal frame
                                  - usb 3.1
                                  - ufs 3.1 (128 and 256 options)
                                  - stereo speakers

                                  $560 would be fair for this.
