blue, 27 Feb 2023Nokia ruined itself by their manufacturing policy around 20... moreYou mean Nokia not going with Android and going for Microsoft. That's what destroyed them. I admit that the design line was cute (cool is too much), but as soon as I touched the display and saw that HORRID tile menu and no apps whatsoever to download I instantly said PASS!
I actually was a BIG theme maker for Symbian - I had almost 1 BILLION themes downloaded on mobile9 - and even I stayed away from them after that.

Poor HMD. Brand recognition of Nokia is the only reason people buy its product and now Nokia is taking it away.
It's time HMD also ditch the Nokia branding, as people either already know its not Nokia or people will stop associating the new brand with old Nokia.

I agree with the new logo. It's message should be:
This is not Nokia you knew.

Some marketing consultants have probably persuaded Nokia that they needed to change their logo and then charged them a huge fee for this rubbish suggestion. They were better off with presenting the image of them being the same company that made great phones (for the time) in the '90s and '00s. It's like Ford changing it's logo, it just doesn't need to.

This isn't the Nokia phones. This is the Nokia telecom company.
The Nokia name is licensed by HMD Global from Nokia.

SShock, 27 Feb 2023KIA has been a subbrand of Hyundai for many years. The fact... moreKIA's new logo is totally dumb and does not imply this brand at all. It's not good, does not look good and does not bear "KIA" in it. All wrong.

kek, 27 Feb 2023Kia went from the red recognizable logo to some modern crap... moreKIA has been a subbrand of Hyundai for many years. The fact that its original red logo had nothing prestigious to associate with, the change doesn't really affect anything. It's not like they are changing the logo of a BMW or Porsche. It's KIA. They make good consumer cars and they often offer good value for money even at a higher end, but that's about it. New logo was kinda expected when they turned a new page in design, particularly with EV's. Seeing here how so many people had to research what this "new" brand is, tells me they succeeded in rebranding to a new company brand logo.
