Hope the phone launches with a 512GB option at a budget, need some competition in that space. A sub $900 would be perfect with a snapdragon series 8 gen 2.

Nothing phone is not even carried officially by any of the telcos, if they had they would insist it support all their features especially VoLTE from the get go or the in-store sales is off the table. Nothing Phone is just marketed in the country like several other brands that telcos don't officially carry. You make a call on the Nothing phone the line switches over to 2G for horrendous call quality after the call is cut you switch back to 4G.

SIRIM statutes are totally useless because it is poorly enforced which is why the sale of phones unfit for Malaysian telecom landscape still occurs. Thought Anwar's gomen would do something but it been just over 100 days so we'll have to wait and see if something happens on this front but am not holding my breadth. To be honest we have bigger things to address immediately than VoLTE on phones.

None of this matters if they don't commit to a good software lifecycle policy like OnePlus or Samsung. None of this willy nilly 2 android updates and then your phone is discontinued.

Since I started messing around with the Quad DAC audio and playing hi-res FLAC music files, I don't even slightly miss going back wireless. If anything, I'm getting more wired audio gear for my collection.

His statements are based on the fact that most of iPhone and Samsung user were actually a dissapointed ex-chinese phone user (including myself). That has nothing to do with geographical reason.

Also, your statement about Oddo gives longer/ regular updates than Samsung is a big lie.

I dont see any chinese phones from 2019 (including Oddo) that got Android 13, meanwhile Galaxy A51 from 2019 got Android 13 last year, even many Samsung flagships got OS upgrades few months before the end of 2022.

Sadly, it seems like it decide to go high end right after their first phone.
