Nothing on the market can compete with Samsung fold.

Samsung should be #1. In the United States, they're the only OEM who offers foldables for us.

Been thinking of getting a Fold 4 because I love a case from Zvelsiem on my Flip 3. The Zvelsiem case feels so good! And it doesn't attract oils like my Araree case did. It 100% protects the hinge even though I need to deal with a magnetic Kim Kardashian hump.

Planning to semi-retire my Razr 5G. Used it as my daily driver for most of the last 18 months but want to give the battery a break which is still very solid. So won't went back using my Pixel 3 as my daily while I leave my foldable flips at home to use as multimedia players.

That Z Fold 4 looks enticing because it seems Zvelsiem didn't make a case for the Fold 3 or they run out and never make them again. But I'd be annoyed by that screen protector bubble around the crease. Will probably just wait for the Fold 5 with Snap 8 Gen 2 this Aug.

I'm surprised by the amount of people willing to spend so much on a new technology.
I will wait foldables and fast charging to reach the mainstream and then pay less.

Samsung sales are stable for over decade now, they ship 250 to 300M units every year, it doesnt matter how others sold their devices.

Well Samsung did kinda start the foldable trend with its Z series + it's a very known brand also known for a great software etc. so i'm not surprised.
Not to mention that Samsung launches devices everywhere at the same time.

The issue is that Samsung is dominating a market where Apple is yet to enter.
Once they enters that market is over for Samsung.

                    well Duh!

Samsung was THE only manufacturer of foldables that had a pure global reach and launch and availability.

I'm sure Oppo's Find N2 would've put a serious dent into their Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Find Flip would've smashed the Z Flip 4 as well if launched same time as it did in China for full global launch including North America.
