Ottonis, 09 Mar 2023Can you elaborate on that "AR moon"? I admit I ne... moreUsually camera at night taking shot of moon have hard time since its so bright while the rest is dark, and though its better with today's algorithms, its still very hard if its taken as part of bigger picture where the moon makes not a majority of the frame, so you can take it as very bright light bulb. That one or the moon with bad hdr processing is taken as yellowish bright mess which also got less detail than you would want(with small, 10mp mobile sensor at 10x).
Phone ads about making beautiful shots(or advertisement about moonshot I see from samsung on tv a lot) have no need to mention to customers that those shots use so called moon-mode - mode that add saved hi res cold-white-toned picture of the moon to the shot with the moon looking like emmental from anime.
Whats worse is, edge of the bottom and the left side of moon is left unedited, ''as seen from camera'', yellow together with worse detail and yellow shine around the moon, as opposed to cold shine from the rest of picture. Also considering how soft detail of the rest of picture is, including ghosting problem, the moon is like super-sharp.
AR is term used to add virtual objects to real ones using light be it in real life or on screen, this one adds the Moon, which makes it look better, but without choice to force it shut down, its more like AR camera, not pro camera, which for me as photographer enthusiast feels like censorship with art/beauty mode on.

Modest Mind, 09 Mar 2023So was Nokia....That was a long time ago. Along with execs not utilizing the touch version of Symbians from Sony Ericsson, they let Uncle Sam swallow them.

Like what EU countries are allowing US to do with their economies now.

    ;)

if the back of this device will this colors combination I will be OK with it. But if it will have a golden ring on a back, so bye bye Huawei. I try to find some successor of my P40 Pro, but from previous year till today nothing better in all the way.

PMKLR3m, 09 Mar 2023Nice artificial moon.it might be an ai overlay of a moon but you cant deny that dynamic range🤯🤯

regs, 09 Mar 2023Way too old. Doesn't give me anything over my P30. And... morethen just jump into huawei mate series.
huawei mate 50 pro is still pretty new.

vrvly, 09 Mar 2023AR moon is not my thing, even more if its pasted so obvious... moreCan you elaborate on that "AR moon"? I admit I never heard of that, so I am taken here by surprise.
Are you sure that the moon shown in this picture is not an actual photo but artificial?

                nothing impressive about it

regs, 09 Mar 2023Way too old. Doesn't give me anything over my P30. And... moreI do have the P30 pro (and still using it) and I can tell you that I never managed to get the moon that big and crisp and in a scene with such high dynamic range,as was posted in this photo.

Looks quite promising. Good to see Huawei building on their traditionally great camera expertise. Unfortunately, without 5G, this phone will probably not be very successful internationally, but for camera aficionados not interested in 5G or those who are living in regions with only poor 5G coverage, this might be an interesting option.

AR moon is not my thing, even more if its pasted so obviously. Even if the moon was not sharp, at least it would be real.
We may as well end up taking saved photos, like shooting selfie at night will get you detail like on sunny day, looking good, not so much true to life tho.

                            Must be leaked photos?

Mobile is not just a camera... Nokia didn't find that & saw its result. Now, Huawei plays that ground again.
