It will look exactly like the Pixel 7 series from last year.

    Dummy thicc bezels

Those bezels are 100% large enough to fit a camera in. Even the Galaxy S8 had a better screen to body ratio. (83.6% vs 83%, if the 7a is the same as the 6a) And the Meizu 16s had a screen to body ratio of 87.2% and managed to fit a camera in the bezels. This is absurd. It's just jumping on design trends for the sake of it. I mean they should be better than this, they haven't released a hideous "camera island" phone in a while, they've done better. So why this?

Love the Pixels. Had 3 and 5. I do wish they would ditch the
fingerprint magnet "glossy back" on the new models. 7a good size. Hoping one of the 8 is similar size.

And mainly, do y'all want snapdragon to own all chips in the market? We need competition otherwise it'll happen exactly like the 2013-2019 Intel era where the new chips were basically the same from last year, just rebranded ones. Imagine a snapdragon 8 gen 5 that is just like 3% faster than gen 4, thanks but no thanks. Competition pushes performance up and prices down, so if I was you I'd be grateful for the exynos, tensor and dimensity series of CPUs

If Tensor would be as energy efficient as at least SD 8 Gen 2, Pixel smartphones would be much more appealing to buy.

The opposite of what a woman will tell you in bed: Will it be smaller?

The Pixels needs to return to the sizes of the non-XL 1 through 4, 3a, 4a, and 5. The base Galaxy S23 is probably the best decent-sized Android smartphone right now surpassing the Asus Zenfone 9. I said decent-sized. I didn't say small or compact.

The Xperia 5 series might be very narrow but they're still too tall. Sony should turn them into foldable flip phones. And I really don't want to get an iPhone 13 mini mainly because I hate flat sides. I prefer rounded sides. I had the 12 mini with a case on and it didn't feel great in the hand after a while. It's like a smaller Essential PH-1. Too boxy.

Pixel Fold intrigues me due to the short size. It might not be that much taller than the Oppo Find N and N2 which are about close to the same height as the iPhone minis. The Find Ns have the rounded sides.

90 hz and no SD card slot
If i wanted a mid range phone i'd be better off with an A54

Looks good, maybe the frame and camera material is even metal. I‘ve liked what Google did with their phones and especially the a series, they seem like well priced phones. However, I am somewhat sceptical of the new sensor because Google has been using the old 12.2MP sensor since the Pixel 2. Their software is very optimized for it. This new one was never used on any Pixel. And considering that the Pixel 6a scored better in MKBHD‘s 2022 camera comparison, the new sensor may be a downgrade in terms of final image results over the 6a, and not a „significant upgrade“ like the author frames it.
