While the QX100 doesn't have interchangeable lens support, it was the first to have a detachable 1" camera system. The QX1 goes further by having interchangeable lens support with an APS-C sensor. On the lower end of the scale, there's the base QX10 with a 10x optical zoom camera and QX30 with a 30x optical zoom camera.

You don't have to use the APS-C sensor and E-mount lenses all the time. It gives the best of both worlds between smartphone portability and DSLR/Mirrorless photo quality.

                Maybe a modular lens mount and support for existing lenses from major brands is the best approach.

The pricing is not competitive: why would i buy a Xiaomi, if i can buy an Apple or a Samsung for less? A Xiaomi is competitive at 60-70% of the price of a flagship. Because its software is often buggy and privacy-intrusive. BUt at 110+% of the cost of a flagship? Forget about it..
