even if this chip , apparently not convincing , as well as the lack of the jack , I think the wisest thing , before making a judgment , is to wait and read the gsmarena review

A54 has one main problem and one minor problem.
The main problem - the processor is very, very poorly chosen.
If a better processor like MediaTek or Snapdragon was expected to be used.
I hope Galaxy A74 5G or Galaxy A54s will be introduced with SD7+ Gen 2 processor.
Maybe the A81 5G will be revived.
Minor problem - that the display margin is too much for a 2022 mobile, even more than the previous generation.

This year, Galaxy A34 will be more popular.

Honestly would more or less have a hard time to pick notch or Exynos for me. Looking a phone for someone else tho, and A34 looks viable. Notch wouldn't mind then. A decent midrange with full Samsung long term support, decent D1080 (no Exynos to potentially mess all up), better value than A54. Price is shaping to be not much higher than A33 where I live (as someone else mentioned, too) so it won'tbe that bad all. More than one phone yet in my sight. I picked A34 see after review etc. option.

blue, 19 Mar 2023A new S23 won't cost €500 in a year...That's the level of price drop I've seen every year for every Samsung flagship, bought new, under warranty and paid for in four instalments in a major retailer (not on the internet). Maybe with inflation it will be 50 euros more, and it will still be worth it.

Overpriced imo. In the US you can get the Moto G Stylus 5G or even the Edge or the Pixel 6a or even the Xperia 10 IV for considerably cheaper. You could also go with an S20/S21 for around the same price.
Wait for prices to fall, or only get these if you need IP67 rating on a budget.
A34 is worth $300 imo
A54 is worth $325 imo

A54 has thicker bezels than my Redmi 9T = LOL!
It's too big and heavy for quite good size 6.4 inch. Unfortunately because of that I will not buy it.

Samsung stricly said you need o... moreSamsung said nothing, I actually own two Galaxy devices, I just explained to you what kind of power adapter you need to activate Super Fast Charging, which is 25W, actually I use a Anker brick, third party which is compatible with USB PD PPS charging protocol which is what Samsung uses for 25W, and IT'S NOT proprietary, I'll repeat, there are multiple third party adapters that works with 25W on Samsung phones, do your research properly because you don't even know what are u talking about.
There are 2 types of USB PD, there is regular USB PD those won't work with 25W on Samsung phones and there's USB PD PPS, those will work with 25W, there's no such thing as mandatory to use Samsung own adapter, it's not a proprietary protocol.

Both are manufactured by Samsung. Since they're both not that battery efficient, might as well just get the phone with a more capable chipset for the same price.

One does not to be genius to see that older samsungs were better or lot better than never ones.
A52 or even A51 were better than A53 or A54.
Just like S10 or S20 line were better than S21, S22 and S23 models.
