Path... moreA 70-200mm lens would force Oppo to use a tiny sensor and a comparatively large f-stop, amd we all know how terrible that would be low light after we all saw a mediocre performance of 3-5x and 10x periscope zoom lenses on Sony and Samsung respectively. Focusing on the pure image quality while reserving a great angle of view for portraits (65mm) is a clever decision, I have the Sigma 65mm F2 lens and you won't believe how versatile this focal length is!

Nick Tegrataker, 21 Mar 2023Amazing hardware, but the non-existent availability makes i... moreThere are cheap a6100 or 6400. They have different version of bionzX compared to a6000 ( both use same bionz X of a9, a7r4) , also way better AF.

Moto edge 20 can give you very decent dng files. Editing can make them look nice on midrange laptop.

Looks pretty good all around. I like the two-tone design & the circular camera layout. Find X3 Pro & X5 Pro looked bad, so good to see Oppo fixing that.

As for the cameras & overall specs, they all seem top-notch. Obviously, reviews will tell the whole story, but it seems promising. And it being China-exclusive is no big deal as you can easily get it shipped anywhere.

              I wanted to buy Oppo Reno8 Pro+5G in china long time ago and doesn't have so many 5G bands only n1 n5 n8 n28A n41 n77 n78
Even I would be alright with n78 I rather waited for EU version which has all bands what you showed
The find x pro versions has all bands
              Non flagships has less

MATE 30 PRO, 21 Mar 2023Ok, currently I have got a Chinese Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5(G) ... moreIt depends where you live in usa they have weird 5g bands or not enough and then usa cust complains they have no 5G
if you in EU the Chinese limited 5G bands still including n77 or n78 n79 n1 n3 n28
                O2 in UK uses n40 and n78
And Vodafone, three and ee uses just n78 so u in spectrum but other countries uses other bands so china version doesn't include them

SwanseaNerd, 21 Mar 2023I wonder if they think that making them unavailable outside... moreif they sell these globally, they know that it won't sell very well (compared to rival flagship phones). theyre just not ready yet to compete in the premium segment globally. being (and staying) relevant in the premium segment is very important (this price segment now makes most of the revenue) in the smartphone market. if they keep selling flagship series phones anyways in a market where not many people r buying, the brand value is damaged badly. then they wont be able to sell flagship phones later on as well.

I can't decide which model I like. I like the X6 Pro because of the IMX989 1" sensor, but I also like the X6 for having an identical primary and telephoto sensor. I like that arrangement since you have the same sensor and pixel size for zooming. I don't think I ever see anyone do it, not even Huawei and Sony. I don't care about the X6 having the Dimensity 9200 SoC. It's an excellent SoC that can be on par with Qualcomm's equivalent.

However, just be aware that Oppo had a region block on some Chinese models this year e.g. the Oneplus 11. It meant if the phone was activated abroad first that after a few weeks people who bought it were getting a message that they couldn't use it for phone calls due to region restrictions. The phone would then have to be unlocked at an Oppo service centre. I have no way of knowing if the region block will be present on this model (I suspect it won't be region locked if it's not being launched globally but I don't know).
