"The new low-energy chip inside the iPhone 15 Pro series will also power the NFC, Bluetooth LE and UW chips while the device is powered off and even when the phone battery is completely drained."

Nice!, so users can still be tracked even with a powered off phone ?. Well!, privacy is now considered a luxury rather than a human right in this day and age anyway. And it will only get worse as time moves on, as there's no stopping this train since it's already in motion...

I haven't upgraded for ages and am waiting for the 15 Pro. I hope these buttons won't ruin it.

Anonymous, 03 Apr 2023No buttons, no sim tray, no charging port. Apple is amazing! What's amazing is, at the end of the year when the sales are accumulated, they've sold millions. And android oem's just copy....sad but true.

Also, they capitalize on some feature that apple has not capitalized on (crazy fast charging). They know they can't beat the hardware and software optimization, the long software support. So they spend their resources on crazy fast charging, tons of ram, megapixels and what have you not. Year ends, apple still sells millions and millions of iphones.

I mean you probably don't want to use your screen with that dirty hands either, right? 😅

DaFink, 01 Apr 2023Apple’s not said anything at all on the subject, this is ju... moreYea....they usually don't tell you about features of their new phones until they announce them

Not sure what the 'end game' is with this feature, just why? The Home button was a common failure point for many iPhones so they turned that into solid state - I understand that. But I never heard of anyone having issues with their side buttons. Anyway, will judge when I see it in person...

[deleted post]You do realize you just simped for a company that doesn't care about you, right?

Corporations should have a limit when it comes to how much power they can accumulate. The mobile phone market is ready for a teardown. Because the governments of the world are taking action against Apple's business practices, you will maybe look back 10 years later from your Android/Linux phone and you'll realize how moronic it is to support monopolies.

They need Apples more affluent customers to start considering foldables more seriously and that won’t happen until Apple releases their own version. The desperation in marketing is so evident pushing for iPhone owners to look at the Flip for example.

Of course they would because Apple has lot bigger buying power, most Android phones sold are cheap low-end phones, those people don't have money to buy foldables. Android flagship phones sells very poorly so there just isn't enough buying power to sell these niche foldables lot.

But let's face it, biggest problem with foldables is just the fact that people don't see value on those.
