-Trix-, 01 Apr 2023This is Apple not HTC, you can't compare this to somet... moreIt was a fail for many reasons, some being unfixable issues even for Apple. We see what they do I this leak turns out to be true, but in my opinion it's a move in the wrong direction. It feels like yet another weird change just to have something "revolutionary" like the Dynamic Island. Lots of hype, for what? The Dynamic Island was mostly there to bring features Android had for years without such a gimmick, Apple sold it well, but it just got introduced to have something new. iPhones are failing to really offer something new to make an upgrade worth it, so now the gimmicks get released

As a android user I am excited for what apple has for everyone but I think they're going over with "oh look we have this we have that." But yeah I cant wait for when it comes out in around September

Appl... morePeople like you represent iPhonist zombie thinking, you need to stop fanboying over companies that only care about your money. It doesn't matter what HTC came up with, at the end of the day Apple had a huge advantage in terms of position of power, because they and Google were backed by the US government and the American marketing culture in general.

Even Samsung is struggling with making their Fold line popular, despite it riding on the same wave as K-pop culture, but if Apple was the one that came up with the foldable phone it would sell way more than 12 million per year.

Also basicly just like Apple wasn’t first with touchscreen, but yet they changed everything with the capacitive screen and gestures to work with it? Same like Apple wasn’t first with fingerprint scanner, but Apple touch ID scanned the finger from every direction and made it something what people actually wanted to use and again changed everything?

If HTC had this 6 years ago it just shows they had something, but it didn’t worked very well and HTC didn’t know how to do it properly. Apple have no room for errors, it has to work like Apple things work.

Why do people keep arguing about who used solid state "button" first, instead of arguing against the use of such evil, anti-consumer technology regardless of who used it first? What's so good about bring the first to use such garbage feature?

So basically the same technology used by HTC 6 yrs ago is now being used by Apple and calling it "revolutionary".

If Apple makes this they will make it work very well, Apple makes few phones in a year, they don't have room for mistakes, they wouldn't take any risks with their phones.
