Years after the introduction barely any oppo (or any other) phone give frame rate above 60hz while playing the lightest of games.

Steam was right making 60hz steam deck . R&D department is more in control of their product than marketing department 😏

blue, 13 Apr 2023Of course they don't sue. They have nothing to sue for... moreChinese market is not important anymore ? U joking all usa or eu and others small businesses buying everything from china in on pallets to get cheapest price as possible and selling sky high and lying in their countries its customers how high quality they are and in reality everything is made in China .. What u see all those companies like go pro or u green or pluggable anker they just make all sht in china and making millions on their own naive homies buying expensive tech which in reality value is 1/3
I buy all from aliexpress where things are cheap and exactly same wha they selling in my country ..
How every country needs china the china needs those countries .. This is just jealousness how china improved and became making high quality products
All businesses in usa or eu got rich by making and buying frim china cheap and selling for more it called gyp joint if these countries would pay fair money to China nit little in the past china would be today 10x richer.. And Huawei telecommunications were popular in the past where nobody was talking about some spying and all small businesses in usa or eu were buying from Huawei only because they offered all equipment and switches and routers for half price and usa companies had same things made in China and selling 10x more expensive ..and small business of course went for Huawei everyone purchased Huawei and now when suddenly usa nad eu realised oh they becoming better and popular basically cut them off .. So unfair and ans eu listening to usa to strip all Huaweis equipment .. So pathetic. And court or judges will do nothing as they have to listen corrupt governments unfortunately

DarlingYext, 13 Apr 2023They were still by far the first ones to implement it on a ... moreRefresh rates in general, are a necessity and not something a company can reinvent or innovate, the innovation was already done by the ones that actually invented the screen. You can't reinvent the wheel. Higher refresh rates were a necessity for gaming since ever. Oppo has nothing to do with screen manufacturing and for sure not with screen refresh rate design schema. They just used a screen made by others and told them that they want a higher refresh rate, most probably not paying what they should pay for it, because well, oppo. Fingerprint reader under display is still something hit and miss, but well, it is a kind of half innovation...

Carol, 13 Apr 2023Oh so you call screen refresh rate innovation? Oha, High sc... moreThey were still by far the first ones to implement it on a phone and high refresh rate ON A PHONE specifically is definitely an innovation and so are in-display fingerprint scanners.

Razer Phone was technically the first, but they did use an LCD.

You are right on this one I admit it. Not that they were the only ones, but you are right. Their displays are definitely best in class.

blue, 13 Apr 2023The things you mentioned were not developed by Huawei or Op... more"Others just buy or copy of what these three create"

Yeah, you are quite clearly delusional.

Sure the notch was copied from Apple when they first introduced it back in 2017, but Essential was the first company to actually implement a notch, which was already smaller than what Apple did.

High refresh rate is not really a thing that anyone copied, but if anyone DID copy then it was these three brands exactly, because none of these were the first to do it.

The zoom capabilites of the P30 Pro if they were copied by anyone, then they were copied by Sony and Samsung, because again they weren't the first do it, same with the in-display fingerprint scanners.

As for their charging tech, well none of these three brands even have any, there is nothing to copy from them.

What else do your 3 favourite brands that could be copied by anyone? Can't think of anything sorry.

Another thing just came to my mind, vivo was the first to implement an in-display fingerprint scanner, which wasn't made by them to be fair to you, it was made by Goodix, which is also chinese.

ZTE however did develop their own tech, under display camera, sure the quality might not be great yet, but it's perfect for people who wouldn't use their front camera anyways.

Samsung doesnt have factory in china, more than 99,99% of units produced outside china, only some irrelevant minuscule number of units produced in china, so it is safe to say samsung doesnt have low chinese quality.

Yes, android wasnt invented by samsung, but samsung was the main reason why most of people could try the newest android version sooner. Also, samsung and US companies/government dont hate each other. On other side, chinese phone companies (and its fans) are hating US government, they tend to forget the main reason people buy mediocre chinese phone are actually because of Android OS.

The downfall of Huawei is just one example.

It's about time to Nokia finally to die... they are behind the times since f forever now ...
The only good news is that they are really bad at innovating now , and they will eventually run out of patents to troll

Oh and don't even try to act like chinese companies don't innovate. First phone with a periscope zoom lens used in Samsung's ultra phones was done by Huawei. First high refresh rate OLED display used in every flagship nowadays was done by OnePlus. Come on man.

And as for the chinese market... it is by far the least stable market in the world, too many state regulations appearing out of the blue and twisting it in favor of domestic producers.
