kevvv, 16 Apr 2023You know that most PC games are only compatible with Window... moreSteam deck user here, the library compatibility is not that bad , i have cca 400 games on steam and the one who s not compatible are mostly call of booty , battlefield , some heavy AAA games wicth u couldnt play anyway and very old games , older then my grandpa (like 50-70 games i think?). I m working / having a vacation to other countries very often and steam deck is perfect for those who wants to play a cs go game or an indie game for 2-3 h. And for 370€ (i got it -10%) it does more then enough , i bought a 1t sd a new 512gb ssd a screen / case protector and the total was like less then 500€

The Steam Deck has mediocre battery life, and you have to bother with changing the settings if you want decent battery life. It may sound trivial, but it's a major difference. Switch OLED users, for example, don't need to worry about that because the battery life is excellent. Also, you can't tweak settings to get better battery life anyway because there are no such settings. Regarding the resolution, almost all console games have fixed resolutions, so players don't need to bother with that. They can simply focus on playing games they buy. Another major difference is that console games have physical copies. This may not be important for people who prefer digital copies. However, many people like owning physical copies of games.

You buy the compatible game on Steam Deck, and play it whatever you want, except if you want to change the game volume or lower the resolution for some reason, then you need to go to Settings for that. Despites it's running on a desktop-class OS, I guess those OS never really inteaded for any use outside games, even though it's supported for that.

There is no need to bother with settings. Everything will work fine (except for bugs, obviously). Handheld PCs even ones that focus on gaming, on the other hand, are for more advanced users in general.

I set my Virtual RAM to Auto btw. And some apps that usually take much RAM is Antimalware Service Executable, DWM, Windows Explorer, and Office Click-to-Run.

It has been an absolute breeze since the transition. Now, I only use Linux via VMware on PC or Andronix on Android.
