Darth Caesium, 23 Apr 2023If so, then tell me how the Samsung Galaxy S10, which has a... moreIt's all about marketing. The upper level phones aka flagships do not have the phone jack. I would never buy a phone without phone jack because I would not feel good about passing it on to my kids and relatives. The Bluetooth ear sticks not only look silly, it is not healthy to have EM radiation (and digital one at that) so close to the brain. Yes, I do not press my phone to the ear when talking and neither do my kids.
I am glad some midrangers have the phone jack. I recently got Redmi Note 12 Turbo with 1TBytes storage and paid 40-50% of the price of the flagship.

I hope the phone will be more compact I'd rather have a 5000mah battery and a more compact phone than a 5500mah battery and a same sized phone as the S22 Ultra and the S23 Ultra. The size of the Note10 would be perfect.

Darth Caesium, 23 Apr 2023The Huawei Enjoy 60X is actually only 216g in weight, despi... moreLet's me show you guys some numbers.

      1st battery -
      7000 mah = 26W
      6000 mah = 23W
      5000 mah = 19W
      4000 mah = 16W
      3000 mah = 12W
      2000 mah = 8W
      1000 mah = 4W

      2nd Chipset -
      A16 bionic TDP = 8.5W
      Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 = 10W
      Dimensity 9200 = 8W
      Exynos 2200 = 9W

      Now calculate like this -
If A16 bionic use 8.5 watt per hour then 7000 mah or 26 watt hour fully charged battery will go empty within 26 ÷ 8.5 = 3 hour.
      Got that?
But you will say my 4500 battery with that processor is giving me above 1 day or 2 day backup because of the optimisation and price i pay.
That's because your processor is not using that high TDP and even other components of that device is not using those watt hours of that battery all the time.
If the device use full power then the battery will be 0 from 100 within very short period of time.

I'm not any engineer but i'm tech lover and mentioning my view on myths of optimised mobile, battery, processor etc. which surfaces all the time for marketing advertisement purposes.
All data collected from online sources and might be wrong.
All numbers i mentioned are not perfect.
Correct me if i am wrong.

Seems like the 25W is now a standard charging speed on Samsung phones as A/F/Mx3 all had like 15W that now seems all A/F/Mx4 have 25W

I dont see that they would make the charging faster with just the new battery technology. It's not even new as EV use it.

""Samsung could well use the improved pack to fit the same capacity within a smaller cell, freeing space for other components or enabling a more compact phone.""

Yeah yeah what a bull. Like the size of the battery makes the phones so large. It's the large screen that makes the phone large. They cant make the phone more compact cause they want the phone to be thin as heck so they dont have space for other things. Just make the phone thicker few mm and you have space for more battery and you have space for all the hardware for more compact phone. How thick the phone is is the last problem anyone sees.

For me it's all about how tall the phone is
How do they even make smaller then S23 ? It must have then something like 5.5 inch screen to make it more compact as it is already compact enough with the 6.1 inc screen and 146.7mm tall while comparison Google Pixel 6a is also 6.1 inch screen but is 152mm tall. If they have 10 cameras in the back side then of curse there is no space for battery and so on that makes the phone even larger in dimensions too

I knew it. I knew that the battery tech advancements within the EV industry would carry over to the smartphone world. Hopefully solid-state battery tech will also carry over as well within the next decade.
