        It is time for Sony to leave its 12mp 1/1.7" sensors behind. You cannot develop sensors like the IMX989 and use some crap in your own phones and sell them as "professional photography devices". Even the display is narrower than on some DSLR cameras with its silly 21:9 aspect ratio.

          Looking at the lastest 50MP camera phones like Xiaomi, Vivo, and Oppo, what oil painting presence do you find compared to 200MP from Samsung?

          Resolution isn't the problem for the most part. Those high-resolution camera phones all end up 12MP at the end after binning so it's the same resolution. Sure you can shoot 200MP shots or whatever, but that won't have the benefit of binning.

          I do what an actual increase in camera hardware from Sony since they've been using the same main camera sensor for a while. I'd be disappointed if they didn't.

          Charging is "slow" but you don't need that 200W charging.

            My iQOO 5 Pro is almost 3 years old, I have only charged it with the original 120W charger it came with, 0%-100% in 15 minutes and still easily gets me through a day on max brightness and always on 120hz, always on display turned on. As for the software, it started with Android 10, now it's on Android 13. No need to be worried.

I think t... moreSeems for Battery lifespan that's why still only 33W, if battery overheat will be shorten the battery lifespan. Battery biggest damage because of Heat, Sony must be aware of that no need to put higher charging. Also Sony Phones can lastly 1-2 day if for normal daily usage.

Simple as that, it's not about ego but for me i'm very satisfied with Sony Product. If you said you can buy and choose not to buy Sony why still commented not worth it? No one said you should buy Sony Phones. Everyone have their own preference for their Phones.

                    I doubt this piece costs 10% of this.

                        33W charging speeds ? This is hilarious for 2023. I think the minum should be 45W. I personally need a big charging speed as I'm always on the run due to the nature of my job. 33W is dead weight.

                          I hope other phone companies copy Sony's solution to the notch by instead having the front cam on bezels so that we can have 100% usability of screens. Like legit the notch trend is just plain stupid with how big phones have been becoming.

                              Honestly i can afford even a Sony phone or a Caviar branded made phone but i am not willing to buy overpriced junk which is not worth.
                              Genuinely same specced and looking phone made by chinese would cost at least 30% less compared to Sony device.
                              Rather will feed poor people around me which i meet daily in streets than buy something tottaly overpriced.
                              Lastly its each persons choice but i am not gonna feed my ego no matter what.

The problem isn't this, but their lack marketshare which is because of their lack of advertising and not taking any market seriously. They are only focusing on the niche markets.
