Anonymous, 27 Apr 2023Not as irrelevant as it used to be.It's more locked down now than before. Sure, praise the M1 all day long if you want but if there's no native app for it and if you are locked to Mac OS only, you are missing out on a lot of stuff.

Remember that at the end of the day, Rosetta is just an emulation layer and Apple will get rid of it as soon as they can.

In my case HOURS of Whatsapp open every day with the screensaver turned off for half a year or so. You should not have any issues. And that happened on a Mi 9T Pro, so no flagship, even that one lasted a full 2 years in total before I even noticed the slight burn-in and is still used by a friend of mine, I'm just very susceptible to it

great move. and i hope other manufactures do the same.
coming from mi max 3 with a great big ips screen to 12t pro and i can't tolerate it.
white color is much better in ips displays and text is much sharper and easier to read. oled subpixel arrangement sucks

Have there been any major advancements in microled lately? The few microled TVs Samsung ever announced (released?) have much lower pixel density and higher power consumption than oled

Problem is the consistency part, I have seen DC dimming do it’s job properly on cheap screens and monitors, but most if not all phones mess up the PWM flickering at lower brightness.

So it would need that 3000hz on all brightness levels with a OLED.
