1080p is kind of stoopid in this small of a gaming screen. 900p would look just as good but with more performance. What they do directly impacts the gaming experience for nothing. A 900p screen is still ove 200 ppi and during gaming over 200 PPI is basically "retina" quality...

Its typical for a company to approach all medias to hype up their new product.. Its like an advertisement rather than an honest preview.. One important thing they still fail to share is the battery play time.. If not mistaken the Ally is going to use same battery capasity as Steam Deck.. which the average game time is around 3 hours.. so with all the specifications on Ally.. the product might only give player half of the battery gaming capasity as the steam deck.. meaning you might be required to charge it every 1 to 2 plus hours.. If you are going mobile, thats going to be a bit sucked.. Its better that you wait for all those hypes to settle down.. just my 2 cents

If this is true, it's a game over for the Steam Deck.

I'll believe it when it's official but this definitely got me looking forward to the availability of this in my region.

in the US you can get a 4070m with 12650 for around 1000 after a discount and trade in which is about ₹81,736, everything is pretty cheap when it comes to gaming laptops, but when it comes to phones you have limited options since no Xiaomi Brands or most china brands. kinda funny it's the opposite so it going to be more expensive there.

ARM chip? X86? GPU? TFlops and stuff? RAM speed? How's the software compare to the steam deck?

If the lower-end is only $449 or $50 more than the base model Steam Deck, I may get this instead and I don't have the best experience with Asus products. ROG Ally is smaller and more powerful. For $50 more, it's a no-brainer.

Deck has the better ecosystem and community support the way the homebrew community continues to do things for the PS Vita released nearly 12 years ago. They're both great products for the price. Can't go wrong with either one. GPD Win 4 has my favorite design and ergonomics but if it's priced at $900+, you can get both a Deck and ROG Ally for nearly the same price for one Win 4.

ROG Ally has a big advantage being sold in retail stores like Best Buy. You can check it out. Those stores have weekly and Black Friday discounts. Imagine a ROG Ally for $299 by Black Friday? Can't wait for all the comparisons from ETA Prime, Taki Udon, and RetroCorps.

Not bad, If it's more than that, it's better to buy a gaming laptop than playing on that small screen.
