With in-display scanner you should turn on the screen and only then use the scanner (for sure until you completely remember it's location).

So the leaked image along time ago was correct, cost cutting with the removal of the RGB and TOF sensors. Also it’s a shame it’s yet another boring design, doesn’t look the price it’s going to cost! They could have at least done something different like the Pro I.

Lovely. I wish I could get one somewhere in the autumn. Only confusing thing is that Sony doesn't sell their phones officially in Ukraine.

IMX858 is 1/2.51", which is smaller than the current 1 iv's 1/1.7" IMX557. I doubt that'll be the primary wide camera. After all, it's ironic having it with a smaller camera sensor than its predecessor. An ultrawide camera would make better sense since the 1 iv's ultrawide camera sensor is 1/2.55" IMX563. I'd be surprised if IMX858 ended up being the telephoto camera.

jamalu96, 01 May 2023does the stacking helps increase in pixel size without incr... moreAccording to Sony Semicon documentation the pixels are essentially 2x bigger, giving the same performance (signal to noise ratio and dynamic range) as a sensor that's 1.5x larger (as sensors are measured diagonally). So the IMX 858 1/2.5" sensor will have the same quality as a 1/1.25" sensor though this sensor is rumoured to be used in the Ultra-Wide camera.

It feels like a Sony ad, good or not that is saying something.
But even if the ad was best in the world each time, Sony phones would still stay niche sadly, even in japan.

That is strange and freaky. Sony needs to learn, that they have to advertise their phones to sell them, but they also need to learn HOW TO advertise.
