But in a sense, a product that was considered upper midrange by its Dimensity 10xx branding, has now been marketed as lower midrange offerings (D7000 series, a spiritual successor to the old D700 series). And no, 1200 is still superior to 7050 because the 7050 was a D1080, in turn based off a D900-series chip.

    Lazy rebrand, such a shame.

        Wow just wow, MediaTek finally have the chance to compete with snapdragon but instead they are busy renaming single chip, thrice and creating mass confusions. i mean how can Dimensity 1200 be better than 7050, i don't even know which is which anymore untill i compare them side by side great going MediaTek
