Weekly poll: can the Motorola Edge+ (2023) or Motorola Edge 40 find a place in your pocket?

07 May 2023
The former is the US version of the Edge 40 Pro (with small tweaks), the latter is a new entry in the premium mid-range segment.

It's on a totally different planet, especially when playing FLAC or WAV music. Since then, I don't ever have a moment where I miss my wireless earbuds. They are all dusting in my drawer and all waiting to be sold.

Now that LG has long exited the smartphone market and still sees no sign of return, Sony is the only smartphone on my purchase radar. I'm really excited about the Xperia 1 Mk5 launch this Thursday.

Anonymous, 07 May 2023Must have pen right? Since you claim you get s23u features. Edge+ 2022 does indeed have stylus support. Motorola still has no announcement about such support for this phone, but I won't be surprised if it exists.

Also, wireless earbuds still not better than wired audio. Come back to me when wireless earbuds can play uncompressed audio format (which of course they can't).

AnonD-731363, 07 May 2023Man your comment was joke. Lastly tons of updates doesnt ... moreUpdates do define a brand’s superiority. Hardware doesn’t matter if the software that you physically interact with every single day is the same old, fugly, slow, and unsafe unupdated software that you’ve been using year after year. Don’t defend a companies’ poor update policy just because your phone has little to no software and security updates, lol.

And more and more people are indeed holding onto their phones, especially if they’re using real flagship phones, these days. I live in a very big city in the US and I’ve seen more people with iPhone 13s than I did 14s everywhere I went. When it comes to Samsung, I’ve seen more older models than newer ones, too.

Also, I’m pretty sure you’re the same weird-ass Captain guy who keeps incessantly promoting his crappy European cellphone store every single chance he gets, lol.

I don't think phones need 5 years of software updates, but the fact that some of you guys are defending Motorola's update policy makes me sad. I hate that I have to choose between stock Android (Motorola, Nokia) or long update support (Samsung)

Sorry, I don't like getting the skin on my hands melted off. Whoever decided that two Cortex X1s in a Samsung-fabbed chip sounded like a good idea needs to be fired.

Like why the heck i pay more and dont get updates ? Up to like 250 euro phones i dont expect to get more then 1 OS update and they should at least get you 1 update and 18 months of security updates. But when i pay 2-3 times of the price then i expect also 2-3 times the update support also.

And there are tons of headphones with USB C conenction or you can always buy a much better wireless audio.

Motorola never had exploding phones or battery issues.
Also even with said updates most people swap their phones every 2-3 years no need to keep phone for 5-6 years only because its receiving updates but hardware wont keep up that long for new apps, games etc.
By the way Samsung UI is worst on the planet along with Crapsynos.
