I currently own... moreAndroid is bought by Google and it runs on Davik VM not like WP8 and iOS running natively and are optimized for specific GPUs. Snapdragon S4 in the case of WP8 and PowerVR SGX GPUs in iPhones. That's why Android is not as smooth as WP8 and iOS.

Funny to See all this hardware comparisons. I currently own a SG2 and my best friend has a Lumia 800. That is a WP7.8 with a single core chip and all... It makes my phone look like a super-slow... simple hardware comparisons count for nothing at all when the devices use a different OS

Seriously Lumia 720 only worth $249.
It has outdated hardware and even much lower spec. than Samsung Galaxy S2 which was released 2 years ago.

-... more- Dual-sim: True, it's actually a great feature that's missing on a lot of phones these days. It's a shame.
- Bigger display: Yes - and: worse image quality, lower PPI, narrower viewing angles, lower contrast. Not everyone would appreciate the extra bulkiness either.
- "Bigger" RAM: Maybe because the JB UI benefits from this, or because the "gpu" they utilize features less video buffer than seen in other smart phone cpu+gpu architectures?
- Wi-fi hotspot seems to have been available since WP7. Nokia beta app is available for DLNA.
- Better camera: More MP yes, but more blurry and not as light sensitive. 1080p recordings looks like upscaled 720p.
Mind you - I don't have a preference towards Android or WP or IOS. It's only a stupid phone.

Why not Lumia 720?
-only 512MB of RAM. Many apps (Modern combat 4 for example) need more.
-Navigation only for India.
-Due to low Ram and resolution might not be upgradeable to WP9. WP8 support ends next year.
Why SGS2:
Better processor, more RAM, more internal memory 16GB(720 has only 8GB-you can't install apps on the sdcard, "Other" space takes tens of GB of memory for nothing), upgradeable to ICS, better screen, all aps available. Google offers caching for offline navigation now.

Galaxy Grand Duos has way better specs and its for 350$.
-Dual Sim
-Bigger display.
-Bigger RAM.
-WiFi hotspot + DLNA.
-Better Camera and bigger MP and 1080P recording.
-And the most important its Android so it has more Games and Apps and much smoother, WP8 started to have lags and stutters after 1 month of usage.
Nokia + WP = failure.

only today i saw the first lumia 620 comercial on tv in india.poor marketing by nokia if ads come this late.presumably 720 will be officialy made available late to allow reception for 620.
