Y, 18 May 2023Lol @ Xiaomi Poco F5 is $150 cheaper and this phone has not... moreThis definitely shouldn't cost more than €400 but it does have somethings over the Poco F5, such as better cameras front and back, microSD support and IP67 ingress protection.

This is a fairly well balanced spec sheet, HTC should've just priced it at €379 and either used a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 or even a Dimensity 8100. Plus all batteries should be 5,000mah minimum these days

MiguelBain, 18 May 2023So the Taiwanese company uses a Samsung chip of Snapdragon ... morePrice of the chip. No matter who manufactures it, the chips are sold by Qualcomm.

The 7 gen 1 would be a lot cheaper than 7 gen 2.
    Worse too ofc..

Generic design but I don't mind. I welcome more upper mid-range devices with headphone jacks and expandable storage.

MiguelBain, 18 May 2023So the Taiwanese company uses a Samsung chip of Snapdragon ... moreQualcomm must be selling it for cheap. According to some Chinese sources it had overheating issues. Don't quote me on that though. Just read it somewhere.

MiguelBain, 18 May 2023So the Taiwanese company uses a Samsung chip of Snapdragon ... moreThis is HTC licensing their name to an Indian company like Micromax, Lava, and Karbonn. Companies license their names like BlackBerry did to TCL and Nokia did to HMD. Many from the HTC mobile department were bought out by Google.
